Comfort Stay Airport Studios - Free Shuttle from the Athens Airport

More like an AirBnB than any sort of hotel - the villa at least. 15 minutes from ATH, so much better value than the Sofitel. But weird pick up. Expected guests to walk across a lake of water in pouring rain!

Misleading listing travellers beware. The room itself was adequate, so I’ll give credit where it’s due. But everything else about this booking was a disappointment driven by a seriously misleading listing. This property is NOT as near the airport as it appears. It is located in the middle of a rural farming area, down a strange, poorly marked roadway, far from anything. The taxi fare to the airport was €37. The photos on the listing bear no resemblance to the reality of the location or surroundings. There are no amenities nearby no restaurants, no shops, nothing within walking distance. There is no receptionist or staff on site, so you are completely on your own when you arrive. The location and lack of amenities were so unacceptable that we chose not to stay, which cost us over $300. For the price charged, this was terrible value. If you’re booking this expecting a convenient airport hotel with services and nearby amenities, save your money. Book elsewhere.

Exactly the same problem as previous review. We were booked into comfort stay and were put in a Tina’s room. Very basic room, we even had to ask for a kettle. The transfer bus had comfort stay hotel logo so we didn’t realise we were going to Tina’s. No refund so we paid double the price for very basic accommodation.

We booked via Capital One platform for a night at Comfort Stay (near Athens Airport), knowing that we were spending the night to catch an early flight the next morning. It went downhill from the start. The shuttle to the hotel took 45 minutes from the initial call to arrival at the airport, despite being told that it should arrive in 10 minutes. Once we arrived, we were all guided to a room that looked very different from what we had booked. After checking the signs and pictures online, we realized we were provided accommodations at Tina’s Apartments rather than what we had booked—Comfort Stay. Tina’s Apartments is almost half the rate of Comfort Stay and has fewer amenities. Most importantly, we were never informed that we would be staying at a different property at any point from reservation to being directed into a different property. We went back to reception and brought up that perhaps there was a mistake in placing us at Tina's Apartments rather than at Comfort Stay. To this, the manager said Tina's was a sister property and that it was all the same. He reported that there was an issue with Comfort Stay, thus they had to house people at Tina’s Apartments. We requested reimbursement for the difference in room rate given that they were not able to house us in the room we paid to stay in. To this, the manager expressed frustration continuously without offering a solution. Upon continual probing, he called the owner, whom we could hear shouting on the phone. Subsequently, he gave us two choices: (1) stay in the room for the full price or (2) leave the same night with reimbursement for the room the next day. We were trying to be reasonable and asked for the difference in rate, but they were not ready to accommodate despite their blatant deception. We felt unsafe at that point and asked to leave the property with proof of reimbursement. At this point, there were several people around us with raised voices asking if we had cleaned the room prior to leaving. One man was yelling at us to follow him to go check the state of the room -- this was unacceptable and was a clear intimidation tactic. Should there have been real issues with Comfort Stay and the guests needed to be accommodated at a different property, that should have been communicated well ahead of time or at least at the time of check-in. We should also have been reimbursed the difference in rate at the least. After we read other reviews, we realized that this is not the first time this has happened. Their reviews document other guests who've gone through similar experiences of being accommodated at a property different from where they booked. Seems like a scheme to overcharge and rip people off. Highly recommend against. Also to note, there was not one single apology for the mess they caused. I'm of course still waiting for my reimbursement.

We arrived at the airport late (1am). The hotel had contacted us via email to arrange our pickup prior to our flight and sent us directions for our arrival. Our pickup for quick, efficient, and pleasant. Our driver asked what time we needed to be returned to the airport the next morning when he dropped us off. Our room was ready for us to get into immediately with no paperwork due to the late hour. (We did the paperwork in the morning.). Our room was clean and everything we needed for a quick sleep before joining our group the next morning at the airport. I would describe our room as a mini efficiency with a small kitchen area. In that area, the staff had left our breakfast in a basket and in the mini refrigerator. Breakfast options included: cereal, milk, juice, fruit, bread, jellies, coffee, hard boiled eggs. We weren’t able to appreciate the grounds when we arrived because it was dark. In the daylight of the next morning, we say the enclosed courtyard included an area to sit outside your room and a few trees. Cute. I wouldn’t use this hotel as a base to visit Athens, but it was perfect for the quick turn around we needed! for the quick
