Cobblers Cove is one of the few family-owned hotels left on the island, and the low-key family vibe is something that we absolutely love. All of the things we want are included - but the flexible dining options give us plenty of opportunity to get out and about on the island. Joanna has created such an amazing team - including the wonderful Gregory (who ensures we want for nothing around the pool), Pearson and Virgil (Bar tenders extraordinaire), Bradley and the team (watersports) and the wonderful restaurant staff including Hazel and Ricardo - and everyone I have left out, you are all wonderful. We would highly recommend this hotel, and have already re-booked :)

We absolutely love Cobblers Cove, from the moment you arrive the warmth of the team and the tropical ambience is wonderful. My wife and I have been to Cobblers a number of times and before that we used to stay with family on the island. Staying at Cobblers made us feel like we were staying with family. The suites are comfortable and luxurious, and the whole team are attentive and friendly, the drinks (rum) and food is exquisite. The island and the cobblers are fantastic but it’s also Joanna and her team that make the difference. From our morning coffee on the balcony watching the monkeys to the whistling frogs and are heads hitting the pillow, every day is special.

My first time at Cobblers Cove with my father & I was extremely disappointed with the experience. My father has been staying at the hotel over the years and was keen to introduce me. Only visited for lunch but we were made to feel very unwelcome. Every request we made felt like a chore for the staff & they could not wait to see lunch time guests exit the property. We will not be back. Sad times

Having stayed in Barbados previously on 4 occasions, we feel we are getting to know the island and the high level of service the island offers, with just a very few exceptions. However, cutting to the chase - Cobblers Cove was perfection in our opinion, location, rooms, gardens, breakfast over looking the sea, but most of all the staff are the best we have ever experienced - lovely, helpful, and genuinely want you to have a great time and your expectations met. I cannot recommend them enough, you wont be disappointed if you pick Cobblers Cove Hotel... Thank you again for hiking me recover my AirPods, and for running such a top class resort... it was a total pleasure staying with you, you provided everything we wanted and had hoped for (including the traditional afternoon tea), and am very happy to provide the best level of review.

We returned to Cobblers Cove after an excellent stay last year, and this time our expectations were exceeded. We were at the hotel when Hurricane Beryl narrowly missed Barbados, but there were full-scale preparations in place. The staff were amazing - they battened down the hatches, cleared everything away and many stayed at the hotel to ensure the guests were looked after. This included Joanna, the General Manager, who postponed her own vacation to stay on duty. Provisions were provided in the room, and the on site generator ensured no power outages. Next day, the team swam full scale into action, getting it all shipshape as if nothing had happened. They were, without exception, magnificent. Throughout our stay, we were well looked after by Gregory, Dee, Virgil and the rest, too numerous to mention. Thanks to all the team for looking after us during what was a difficult time for all Baijans.

We visited Cobblers Cove on Christmas Day as we could see they were offering what sounded like a delicious Christmas buffet. When we first arrived and went to the bar, it was very sweet and quaint, and we had a really lovely cocktail, and listened to the Christmas Day band singing. It then went downhill. We were seated at a table which was originally for four people, but they amended it to be 2 x 2 person tables. After about 20 minutes waiting to get served, we were told that we would need to move tables. It took them an hour in total to move us to another table. The manager was good when we had a quiet word with her about this long wait and brought us some champagne to apologise. The new table didn’t have any Christmas crackers on it, unlike all the other tables. It took us asking three times for them to be brought. When our starter finally arrived - well after an hour after our booking time - our ‘caprese salad’ was a bowl of 90% undressed tomato, with 1 slice of mozzarella on top. It was quite disappointing. Our main course, however, was where the main disappointment set in. The buffet consisted of turkey, beef, ham, rice and halved new potatoes. No green veg, no gravy etc. There was also a salad station, except each bowl was just filled with what seemed like canned veg that had been emptied into bowls (ie sweetcorn). There were a lot of flies around the food, and my wife’s beef was inedible, it was so stringy and fat. My turkey was from the very end of the bird and felt like they just didn’t want to bring out a new turkey - it was disappointing, and dry due to the lack of gravy. The desserts were fine. Upon leaving, we noticed they hadn’t charged us for the cocktail we had. We assumed this was because of the very poor experience. However we were then approached by the barman and made to pay for it. At this point we decided to let one of the management team know about our poor experience. We were refunded for what we paid on the day, minus the cocktail and our sizeable deposit. The partial refund is why we have scored this 2/5 rather than 1/5. The reason that we are rating this so low is because the expectations for a Christmas lunch are high, and we had chosen Cobblers Cove out of the myriad of choices we were presented with. From what we were being charged, we had certain expectations about the quality of the experience, and those were completely missed.

Our visit to cobblers cove was amazing, our arrival experience was just like home from home, this fabulous old colonial hotel has been maintained beautifully, the gardens are an oasis of calm and tranquility, our room was ready on arrival and finished to an exceptional standard, our suite was a great size, well proportioned with plenty of hanging space and hangers, a fully stocked mini bar with fresh milk and water. Lovely comfortable sun loungers, fresh towels ,very clean pool area. The new is bar is beautiful ,Virgil, Pearson and co, make the bar a fun place to hang out, great cocktails, unfortunately there are new rules not allowing the sweeteners in the cocktails. A very pretty restaurant, prime ocean front location, staff very friendly and attentive to our every need, all meals are a leisurely affair, as it should be, don’t expect to be in and out in minutes. The management are very hands on, friendly and helpful. For those who want a luxurious vacation Cobblers is a wonderful hotel.

We stayed at Cobblers Cove in October, with our three children (aged 21, 18 and 14) and had the most magical week. The staff were attentive and charming, nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were stunning, spacious and beautifully decorated. Having a separate sitting room and bar area was perfect and our two interconnecting rooms faced onto the tranquil garden. We swam in the turquoise sea, a turtle bobbing up to join us one day, and it was a memorable and very enjoyable week. We ate often in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious with a very varied menu. The cocktails at the pink marble bar were a lovely way to start the evenings. We highly recommend Cobblers Cove for an incredible holiday, with or without the children. A gem of a hotel with an elegant and relaxed atmosphere.
