Golden Tulip Srinagar

Located right neat UN peacekeeping headquarters. Designed like a Counter-Strike map - yeah, you can surely defend yourself until the troops arrive. Outdated rooms need renovation asap. Absolutely lovely staff and the best food in the whole city (Tabak Maaz is forever in my heart).

The bedding was plush, Central AC / Heaters worked perfectly and the housekeeping was top-notch. They even provided an extra bed on request, with a little extra cost — small touch, huge comfort. *Food:* The in-house restaurant was a highlight. Authentic Kashmiri Wazwan, fresh trout, and the best kahwa I had in the entire trip. Breakfast buffet had both local and continental options. Everything tasted home-cooked. Do not miss their Mutton Rogan Josh, Butt Hak ka Saag and Kashmiri Pulav. *Hospitality & Service:* This is where Hotel Golden Tulip truly shines. The staff treats you like family, not guests. From the warm welcome with kahwa, to helping us plan our day trips to Gulmarg, Sonmarg & Pahalgam, to arranging an early checkout — they went above and beyond. Location is a plus as is close to Dal lake. Food is exceptional with wide spread menu including Indian , chinese , continental, kashmiri. Staff ( Sajjad etc ) is very polite and helpful. Hotel is highly recommended. Only con as per me is room size which is a bit small but is outweighed by other pros of the property.
