Clean, beautiful, terrific bed and linens! Did I say clean? Immaculate and this made me so happy! Warm and welcoming. Amazing breakfast - best pumpkin pancakes I've ever had! And in case you think this is a paid review, I actually wrote to Jean to ask where I could submit bc this was such a lovely stay and I wanted to write this up to share this gem -- we look forward to returning!

Jean and Jim are wonderful hosts, serving a great breakfast at their lovely centrally located B&B. Clean modern and comfortable well equipped rooms made our weekend stay very enjoyable. We plan to return on our next trip to the area.

Jean and Jim were amazing hosts. Jean is a fantastic cook! The breakfasts were stupendous from the pumpkin pancakes, the farm fresh eggs (omelettes off the charts), biscuits, scones, and crispy bacon to the heavenly stuffed french toast. Jim and my husband talked music and we all talked travel, locales, food, and fun. The location was perfect for the nearby wedding we attended and the room was well appointed with a Sleep Number bed, great ceiling fan/light, and spacious bathroom. Highly recommend and if we are in the area, we will definitely return.

Beautiful B&B in the village of Stamford, NY. The room was large and beautiful, breakfasts delicious and the owners very friendly. A warm and relaxing environment. Within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. All around great experience.

Stamford Gables is a most welcoming B&B. Our plane was late arriving into Albany and so we didn’t arrive at the Gables until after 9pm. We were greeted with a smile. The room is large and comfortable. And the breakfasts were yummy! I splurged with the stuffed French toast one morning and was happy I did. We completely enjoyed the family atmosphere created by the owners and guests around the breakfast table.

Stamford Gables was a great place to stay. The Churchill Room was big, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The large bathroom was very well appointed with a large shower and very fluffy towels. The room had everything we needed plus. Jean and Jim were great hosts. There were many hot breakfast choices with wonderful pastries baked by Jean. We enjoyed meeting and socializing with them. If you are ever in the Catskills area, we highly recommend staying at Stamford Gables.

Lovely inn, beautifully restored by current owners. We stayed when attending a wedding at the nearby Blenheim farms, an easy drive away. Our room was large, well-equipped, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was made to order with a good range of options, served hot and tasty! The atmosphere was relaxed and homey. Jean and Jim, the owners, were friendly and very obliging to meet our needs. I’d highly recommend the Stamford Gables Inn.

We came to Samford area for a wedding in Jefferson. The room (Churchill Room) was very spacious and very clean. Jean & Jim were very helpful even before we arrived (I had contacted them to give us dinner suggestions so I could make a reservation). The air conditioning worked very well which was very much needed for a hot July. The bathroom had all the amenities I needed (dryer, big towels and shower, shampoo/conditioner/soap). The breakfast was delicious and there were cookies, coffee and tea available all day. Nice area to sit outside and eat as well if you wanted to. The house was well insulated and we weren't disturbed by noise in the other parts of the house. We had a great stay.
