Ship Inn Stanley

Great communication with hosts and terrific service. Our room was well appointed and the breakfast provisions were ample and delicious. Gardens were lovely and communal areas were beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

High quality furnishings and comprehensive fit out. Quirky and interesting decor. The gardens above the Ship Inn are immaculate and a credit to the staff. We hope to return one day.

The buildings that comprise the historical Ship Inn have been immaculately restored and refurbished. There is a well equipped gym and guest laundry in the old stables and the guest lounge in the old billiard room is quite wonderful. The accommodations are excellent, well equipped, comfortable beds, and nicely laid out. Full of character. The harbour is close by, as are the shops and the cable chair lift to The Nut which is a must. On top of all this the owners and staff are friendly and very helpful.

We stayed in April at the Ship Inn for a very special family birthday celebration. We booked several rooms. Our family members are all experienced and regular travelers both in Australia and overseas. We all felt the Ship Inn was an excellent place to stay. It ranks amongst the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The suites are extremely well designed and have exceptional facilities. The guest lounge is a real bonus as we took advantage of this room to collectively meet for drinks and casual eats in the well-equipped little kitchen/dining area and then relaxed in the adjoining stunning lounge. The house staff were also very friendly and lovely to us. The gardens and landscaping are incredible and extremely beautiful. We would like to thank Kerry and Alaistair as the amazing hosts and owners of this property. We all felt very welcomed and the nice extra touches such as having a little welcome card in each room as part of the family group was a lovely thought. The hosts certainly went out of their way to make the celebration special for my son who turned 40 and our family group who came from within and outside of the state for the celebration. Thank you so much.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ship Inn Stanley. Kerry and Alastair have thought of everything possible to make you feel welcome, comfortable and well looked after. We stayed in the Greenhills suite, which was beautiful, with so many lovely details. We also loved exploring all the extras available – the beautiful guest lounge where we enjoyed a complimentary glass of muscat one night, and a walk around the incredible gardens. The breakfast was delicious and the fresh bread every day was so good, we also appreciated having a coffee machine and fresh milk every day. The bed was very comfortable and the location was so handy – everything we wanted was within walking distance. It was such an enjoyable stay and really made our trip to Stanley very memorable.
