I told the boss in advance that we can have breakfast in the morning. We had a sumptuous lunch at an acceptable price. We went to climb the Great Wall before dawn. I heard from the boss that the red leaves on the Great Wall are still there. There is no discoloration. It will be more beautiful after October. I can recommend friends who love photography to come with me next time😃

I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend a night or more, near Jinshanling Middle Gate Great Wall. It is just beside the ticket counter. And when other shops are closed after sunset, the property can still cook up some dinner for the guests. On my second night, the portion of my fried rice was so big, I felt grateful for the treatment. The bed was comfortable. The room heater worked very well. The place was not noisy. It was a good stay.

The environment and scenery are amazing, and the service is great. However, the underground parking lot for check-in was too chaotic, with no one to guide us, so we just had to drive around aimlessly.

For my first visit to the Jinshanling Great Wall, I chose Jianguo Farmhouse Inn. It was very convenient; I could drive right to their door, and it was very close to the ticket gate, about a two-minute walk. The rooms were clean and tidy, the food was delicious, and the owner was warm and hospitable. He explained the tour route to us, where to watch the sunrise and sunset, and even helped us buy tickets. A homestay in a remote place, if you go to the Jinshanling Great Wall, it is very convenient. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the entrance of the Great Wall. Because this place has not been officially fully developed as a tourist area, the nearby facilities are non-sufficient. We are reporting the Great Wall Marathon this time, so we came here. But the surprise is the owner of the hotel called Zhou Wanlai. Both of them are very kind and shy. The boss is a very professional photographer in the local area, and he is a chef, and a shop second, really all-rounder, and Zhong is a good person. Zhong has two in-laws who are very kind. We drove the car to the visitor center and ran the handbag. We hope to have a five-star accommodation. Since there are no nearby, we have breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Hometown food, Beijing eats more coarse grains. If you don’t have an appetite, you can see the wisdom, but I like it the most. Especially millet porridge and millet cake! The homestay is taken care of by a family. The proprietress will be at home as soon as she receives it. If there is a cockroach, she will open her voice. So it really feels like home. The room is clean and well-organized. The super-standard service like a homestay in the wilderness of the mountain is very glazed! I will choose Wanlai again next time!

We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section. This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport). The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.
