Amazing stay,room lovely, breakfast delicious,Nice bar and lounge room.Staff very friendly especially Bethany who helped book our room.Top marks we will deffo return for a get away.Thankyou for everything could not fault our stay at all many thanks Chris and Katie Bell.

What a charming hotel. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Even going out of their way to get us a very early check-in because our flight had to be changed (Newark airport). We had a terrace room and it was adorable. The interior design of the room was unique and quirky. The bed was so comfortable as well. The servers at the restaurant were very attentive and kind. We ate there several times and Helena(not sure if I spelled that correctly) took wonderful care of us. Overall a lovely stay and my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!!

We had the most wonderful roast in the garden today. The Beef roast was the best we have ever had. Service was great and the manager couldn't do enough for us. We will be back enjoying the terrace in the sunshine. A real buzz and awesome ambience on the garden terrace.

Just went for lunch and expected to be on the expensive side but: For a pint of bitter shandy was charged £5.50 for the pint of bitter and £1.50 for the lemonade making £7.00 for a pint of shandy which after all has only about half a pint of beer anyway. Add to this 12.5% service charge which was added automatically makes for an expensive lunch. I subsequently found that the service charge is discretionary but this was not pointed out at the time.

Enjoyed our two night stay immensely. Loved the decor throughout and had a wonderful meal in the hotel restaurant. Our room was spacious, really well appointed with an Emperor bed which was so, so, comfortable. Fantastic en-suite with walk-in shower. Staff were very professional and helpful.

Just had two nights here. We loved the hotel beautifully decorated and clean comfortable room. Ate one night in which we enjoyed and breakfast was great . Hotel is in lovely high street with walks on doorstep. Very pleased we chose to stay here thank you

Not very busy and a bit more basic then we imagine. Did not sleep so well due to fire alarm (no explanation given by staff ) & very loud banging hotel doors. Breakfast poor ,pancakes very dry . Sad partly dead flowers on table not welcoming in a hotel trying to sort a high recommendation

I called the events Manager 3 weeks ago, who apparently needed to consult with the restaurant manager as seemed unable to accommodate lunch for 18 people and worried they would run out of food !! I am still waiting for a phone call … nearly 3 weeks incredibly unprofessional and rude - I assume it is too much to call me and let me know either way .. has there been a change of ownership ?
