Stayed here this past week with my fiancé, his mom, and my mom. His mother rented the accommodations and they were PERFECT!! This unit could sleep many more than the four of us—there were 4 bedrooms total. On the main floor each bedroom had a large Mt bed and it’s own bathroom. The upstairs bedrooms each had 2 queen beds and their own bathrooms. This place was COMPLETELY EQUIPPED with EVERYTHING we needed! I’ve never stayed anywhere that had so many extras! Coffee, pancake mix with syrup, two patios, plenty of seating everywhere, fluffy blankets, an electric fireplace, every pot, pan, utensil, plate, cups, and and accompaniments you could think of. We honestly wanted for NOTHING! Had a Walmart delivery for our fresh food and we were SET for the week! The unit itself was SO BEAUTIFULLY decorated! Very comfortable and peaceful. It was quiet and we felt safe. Best experience I’ve had in a resort! Would ABSOLUTELY stay here again without hesitation!!! We were so thankful to have such a wonderful place to call home for the week!

We stayed here last year, and liked it enough to return - but this year was so much better! The setting is wonderful - the lake out front, the deer, the swim dock - and this year the condos were much nicer, and there were new things to enjoy. I was worried at first that there was no office on-site, but the management was totally responsive, any time we texted - it's a very good system. We love the new kid's playground, and the game room. In fact, one of our party (we had 3 families, in 3 condos) said we need to stay longer next year, just so we can enjoy all the things to do here at the resort. Some favorite experiences: Sitting together on the patio in the evening, talking and watching the kids play and chase fireflies. Watching "our" deer come out to graze in the morning and evening. Watching the kids play at the swim dock - and watching them enjoy the family of ducks who swam by, too. I'm impressed with everything the new owners have done, and we look forward to returning next year.

* This review expresses my personal views. Stay Away... Stay Far Away. * This IS NOT the resort it used to be. The owners sold out and it was split up into multiple resorts. Tribesman NO LONGER HAS ANY outdoor pools (no sun and fun) and offers only what I see as a DINGY, MUSTY, SWELTERING indoor pool with an absolutely FILTHY restroom. I did NOT want to spend any time in there... the windows were broken and covered with a disgusting white and gray film. The ceiling was rusted, mildewed and disgusting, lights broken and dripped musty water onto the very wet, very dirty floor. I feel the "pool-house" is literally falling apart. The siding is rotting and the foundation is crumbling. * I found the "hot tub" to be a joke; an old, dilapidated above-ground unit with torn liner and cover and rusted supports. I didn't DARE try to climb the disgusting, torn, partially carpeted, crumbling wooden steps to get in it. * My wife and I arrived just after 8:00pm. The unit was warm so we searched for the A/C thermostat. We could not fine it. We tried calling the office, the exchange and the emergency contact numbers but no one answered my calls. My wife finally noticed a wall-mounted air conditioner and it's remote. Sadly, it barely cooled the two-bedroom cabin. Each bedroom had a small, inadequate through-the-wall fan to try to cool down the bedrooms. * One of the bathrooms was absolutely disgusting with literally hundreds of dead insects strewn on the floor, and sink, towels... there was also no hand soap in either bathroom. * The ceiling in the dining area was stained and crumbling. * The portable dehumidifier was full of water and had shut itself off. * We had made reservations weeks in advance but we're NOT NOTIFIED that they no longer had an outdoor pool. (We had also made reservations for a week's stay months in advance for late July.) again NO ONE notified us that they no longer had ANY outdoor pools. Many sites on the internet showed that they had 4 outdoor pools and a billboard along the road to the resort still boasted 4 pools. I feel that this was a bait-and-switch tactic to keep past customers returning.

After many years of enjoying Tribesman, we learned last year that it had been sold. Last year 2021 wasn’t too bad, most of the things in our unit were the same as before. We missed the personal touch of ***le and Arno but things were OK. By this year there were many changes. About two months before our stay we were informed that our unit was no longer available and we being moved to another unit. Although the unit could sleep our entire group using sofa beds, we decided to expand into a second unit. Like many of the properties in the area the management was handled by absentee management companies that do not have the personal interest that real people have. And like most of these management companies they add a “Resort Fee” to their quoted prices. Instead of going to the office and picking up our keys upon arrival, we received an email with the combination number for our door. Another way to reduce cost to the management company. Upon arrival Friday evening, we noticed the curtain for the back door window was broken and sitting next to the door. A minor problem, in the old days we would have run by the office in the morning and reported it and we planned to do it this year. Then we started to notice other problems. Smoke detectors that looked like the batteries had been removed. Wallpaper starting to peel of the walls upstairs. As we got ready for bed, our daughter called to us to come to her room. When she turned down her bed, she found a pair of men's underwear flattened between the sheets. At that point we realized reporting things to the office in the morning would be a waste of time. On Sunday morning we noticed workers in front of our unit working with pipes running underground in front of our unit. We didn’t think much of it at the time. We ran out of paper towels in the kitchen and took the spare roll from under the sink, black and moldy completely unusable. I guess there had been a sink leak and the roll got wet and never replaced. Again a minor problem but another indication of management apathy. That evening when walking around the property we noticed a lot of water running across the road in front of the other unit we had rented. Again we didn’t think much about it. Later that evening the other part of our group called to let us know their bathroom and strong noxious odor when they tried to use the shower. Apparently there was some kind of sewer problem, but no attempt was made to notify us there could be a problem. At the old Tribesman one of owner's pet peeves were customers who found a problem in their unit and instead of reporting it so it could be fixed, just left and wrote a bad review because something didn't work correctly. So we stopped at the office before leaving to let them know we were out of our unit. When we walked in, a lady came from the back to see what we wanted. We told her we were out of our units, she didn't care. Then we told her the problems in our units. She just nodded her head, took no notes to have the

The property description and pictures were very misleading. Thought we were getting a 2 bedroom unit and when we got there it was only 1 bedroom.

A roach ran out when we opened a cabinet door. We sought other accommodations and did NOT stay here.

Really a great location and it worked perfect for us. Especially since we got in late Friday after we hit a deer. Only issue we had was not having sheets for the pull out bed, but we worked around it. We will definitely be back again!
