Beautiful hotel, lovely friendly staff, comfortable clean room with new upgraded decor and great facilities, relaxing and easy access to parks, the hotel needs more staff to cater to guests as there are not enough staff members to accommodate the amount of guests especially when it is dinner time, some food was served cold but only on certain days so I am assuming they have different chefs for some days, as mostly the food was perfect and amazing!

People were very pleasant , although the evening staff don't really know much about what can be done in terms of moving people into different rooms. The room was fine king size, with a bit of room. I stayed with a group for a couple of days after and that room was in the eves , and claustrophobically small. Not helped by the fact that it was not possible o open the window and the fan provided merely circulated very warm air around the room . Breakfast was satisfactory. My advice is stay in the Kingsize room and avoid the hotel ifit is swelteringly hot

Rooms clean and good but dont book room 11 as 31 steps up steep stairs to get to the room. Really disappointed with the breakfast on our last day, served full English breakfast and really looking forward to it as previous days was great. Beans stone cold as was bacon pointed out to waitress who went away and came back with a pot of hot beans with the intention of pouring the hot beans on to the cold ones. Told her to take the breakfast away as really could not understand why the plate wasn't removed and a new breakfast provided. No apologizes just a shoulder shrug, later spoke to a manager who again no apology just sorry i wasnt around. No offer of a refund considering there breakfast is some £11 a head. Not a happy customer.!!!!!!

Nice stay Lovely rooms, with ensuite but even with the heating off and the window open it was too hot to sleep. Would be great idea to have bottles of water in the room, possibly a small fridge. Breakfast is excellent and so was dinner

Beautifully decorated hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Sam and Lisa and the rest of the servers were so lovely, nothing to much trouble and Sue kept out room so lovely and clean

Great hotel with lots of stairs! My room was really good, but I didn't realise that there was no elevator in the building. This was fine for me as I was able to carry my suitcase up the stairs to the top level. However, my brother and his wife had major difficulties in walking up so many stairs. Fortunately, they were able to change their room for one on a lower level, which was much better for them. Maybe, in the hotel description, it should be noted that there are several flights of stairs in the main building and, if that is a problem for patrons, there should be somewhere to request a ground level room.

Mostly Great Food, staff and room were great. All staff were pleasant and friendly and the meal I had was really good quality. The room was beautiful and a great size, separate seating area and huge bathroom with double shower. The noise behind my room however, was terrible, bottles and rubbish being emptied day and night (tried to sleep late afternoon following a long drive). The mattress needed upgrading too so sleep was very broken, which sadly took the edge off an otherwise great hotel/pub. Bottle for fresh milk is a great touch but could do with some UHT in the room too. After a bad nights sleep I just wanted a brew and showering and dressing to collect the milk wasn’t ideal… I ended up buying one elsewhere after I left.
