Perfectly nestled in the forest in Strawberry, AZ the Kodiak Bunkhouse, Studio Cabin blends seamlessly into its environment. It sits inconspicuously on our 1 acre of property. It is the guest house next to the main cabin.
Walking around the Bunkhouse to the back you will find the gas grill and comfortable patio seating that overlooks the dense forest of surrounding pine trees. Upon entering the cabin you will quickly realize this is not your grandad's hunting cabin. 2 queen sized beds occupy one end of the cabin and an efficient kitchenette resides on the side. The bathroom features a glass shower door with brand new tile. During our winters, you will enjoy the warmth and romantic atmosphere generated by the electric fireplace that sits in front of the futon couch that can easily be turned into a bed. Entertainment is provided with a smart TV, cards, board games, fast WiFi and the local bars and restaurants within a few miles. Not to mention the amazing hiking and biking trails, Fossil Creek and Tonto Natural Bridge a few miles away as well.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs less than 20 lbs per pet (limit one pet total).$35 pet fee. Pet on leash. Jeff was top notch host!! His response time to inquiries or questions were immediate. My husband & I were amazed at the seclusion, location, and very lovely cozy mountain lodging. Everything we needed was available to us & Jeff is very kind. Loved sitting back on the patio & just hearing silence except for the wind whistling through the beautiful tall trees. We enjoyed the cuisine the town had to offer, trail walking and a casual drive to experience the multitude of elk in the area. All the little calves so adorable this time of year. And we just rested and enjoyed the cooler temperatures!! We will be back to this wonderful little bunkhouse on the hill! Everything was perfect for a little escape. Thanks again, Jeff! Rob & DJ

Wonderful place to stay in Strawberry!
I was surprised to see that this had a 10 rating, but now I know why! My husband, our 3 older teens, and I had a great stay at the Bunkhouse - Safe, amazing location, clean and nicely decorated, outdoor and indoors well equipped, wonderful host and environment, better than pics show…

Beautiful cabin in Strawberry, AZ
Wonderful communication from host. Jeff puts a great deal of pride into keeping the Bunkhouse in amazing shape. It was perfectly prepared and check-in / check-out was easy and as exactly as described. Would definitely stay there again!

5 Stars - Peaceful Stay at the Bunkhouse
We absolutely loved our stay at the Bunkhouse in Strawberry! The cabin was spotless and decorated so cute. It had such a warm and inviting feel. We enjoyed time on the porch watching the hummingbirds come and go. The host was incredibly responsive and flexible which made the whole experience, smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for a clean, cozy and peaceful getaway in the pines, the Bunkhouse is the perfect spot! We can’t wait to go back.
