This hotel has many things that were well-made initially, but haven't been maintained, like the plumbing. There's a feeling that they've cut corners everywhere. At breakfast, there's a lot of variety, but it's not very tasty; the coffee is bad, and the fruit (bananas, apricots, etc.) is unripe. On the positive side, the location is very convenient and beautiful.

Located on Lake Maggiore, the hotel allowed us to enjoy early morning walks along the lakeshore. It was conveniently located within walking distance of both the ferry terminal and the train station. The hotel had a lovely, classic atmosphere. Although we stayed in a mountain-facing room, the breakfast area also had a terrace overlooking the lake, offering a great view. Next time, I'd like to stay in a lake-facing room. Lake Maggiore is less crowded than Lake Como, allowing for a more relaxed experience. It's also easily accessible from Milan, so I highly recommend it.

The deluxe room was very clean and had 2 small balconies and a very comfortable bed. The view across the lake was fabulous. Air conditioning was a must as every day was the mid to upper 30’sC. The breakfast buffet was okay…fruit, yogurt etc good but I would avoid the scrambled eggs.. they seemed to be reconstituted…and, as near always in Europe, the bacon was only partially cooked. I would not recommend dinner.
The pool area was very good albeit there is the usual scramble for places and music more suited to a disco rather than having a relaxing chill by the pool! Perhaps it’s my age!
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had come back from Lake Como and prefer Stresa 100% mainly due to location of hotel. Central for ferries and restaurants. Breakfast was very good but mostly the staff. They were all professional and very responsive.

We were very pleased to stay at the hotel. It was noticeable how friendly and helpful all the staff . The location was very good for us. The room was comfortable very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the breakfast but perhaps a little more variety over the course of a week would be good. Overall we had a great stay
