We were asked when we checked in "what brought you to Stroud?" To which we replied that it was our Honeymoon. The staff were very excited to have us staying with them and gave us a box of celebrations at the desk. The receptionist told us " you should have told us , we would have prepared your room for the occasion!" .We then booked an evening meal in the restaurant and upon arrival we were five minutes early and the waitress serving us gave my wife a bottle of rosé and myself a Guinness 0%. When we asked how much the initial drinks were we were told " nothing , it's on us". We stayed for a week and every day we would find gifts left for us in our room by the hotel staff. Roses, chocolates , lovely notes, and even a little teddy bear! Me and my wife were absolutely taken aback by the generosity of the staff at Stroud and the way they made our honeymoon so memorable and perfect.we loved our stay there So much so ,we will be returning again in the near future. Thank you for everything

My girlfriend and I have just spent the night here on our way to South Devon. Although not the easiest to find it was lovely. Friendly welcoming staff both in the hotel and the adjoining restaurant. Our room (105) was spacious and comfortable, the only ****** tbere was tbe toilet roll holder in the bathroom was on the opposite wall to the toilet itself was quite difficult to reach. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were lovely. Plenty of free on site parking but you have to register your vehicle at reception.

We stayed overnight close to a wedding venue. The positives were a nice cooked breakfast, comfortable beds and windows that open which helps as no room thermostat. Nice clean warm shower although toilet tissue dispenser is too far away from the toilets. The downsides are the obvious state of disrepair of the hotel rooms and the hallways etc. our room had paint hanging off the walls. The bar staff were rude and the restaurant looks very tired. Definitely falls below the standard expected of a Premier Inn.

This is the third time I have stayed here but NEVER AGAIN. Complained about the really bad smell in my room (107) coming from the bathroom. Staff in reception told me it would go away once the kitchens had finished cleaning the fat fryers as it’s an old, out dated hotel and the smell takes a while to go away (receptionist’s words not mine). This was an excuse to fob me off, luckily I was out for the evening. On my return, the room still stank. Could not change rooms as l was told earlier that the hotel was fully booked. On my first visit last year my room, on the first floor, was near kitchen extraction fans and it was noisy. Second time, a couple of weeks ago, my room was on the ground floor and better, so decided to give Stroud Premier Inn another chance. My mistake, another first floor room! If you are thinking of staying here get a ground floor room, if you’re lucky you’ll have a fresh smelling room.

Home from Home. Premier Inns have been the choice of hotel for years, and staying at a Premier Inn is a big part of any trip away. The consistency of hotel standards, and also the quality of food at the attached restaurants adds to a very comfortable stay.

Stayed at the Premier Inn Stroud for 2 nights. A great night sleep, good sized room and a lovely walk in shower. Very friendly staff. Just what I wanted and expected. I would happily stay here again as the location was great with easy parking.

The Premier Inn hotel was first class. The service, at the attached Brewers Fayre, was really third class. We dined in on the Saturday, table booked for 7.30pm. Food was good. We then sat at our table having a drink until a table became available outside the dining area. We sat there and at 950pm decided to have another drink. The only person on the premises was a cleaner who was vacuum cleaning the restaurant. He informed us that last orders were at 10pm (no one had informed us of this beforehand) .We said it's 9.50pm, the cleaner then informed us that the staff had cashed up and that there nobody to serve us. He then showed us a small notice on the door informing customers that the restaurant closed at 10pm on Saturdays and 9pm on Sundays. No information was given to us on arrival, no information in the rooms and no information given by staff when ordering food. A VERY POOR SERVICE ALL ROUND. NO THOUGHT FOR HOTEL CUSTOMERS WHAT SO EVER>

There are very friendly staff at this hotel. It was a clean room and a comfortable bed which meant a god nights sleep ready for work the next day. The evening meal was lovely as well as the breakfast. Would stay here again in the future.
