Riverside Rest Nambucca Heads

Having very recently returned from staying here a few days & nights. I truly can't speak highly of the short time I spent! Due to the lovely, friendly management and the overall ambience of it! The most comfortable of bedroom & bathroom I had, which were all maintained to the highest order. The closeness to the beaultiful river & its views from the balcony windows! Loved too, also that it was in such handy walking distance to town, all the local eateries & everything else that Nambucca has to offer too! It's one of those real gems! Only wish that it could have stayed here longer! But I know now that I have discovered it... I will definitely will be returning here!

I was looking for a stopover on my way to Queensland and thought I would find a suitable B & B in this area. I took a chance on this establishment and I wasn't disappointed. There are 3 rooms available and I decided on the Queen room, which had the separate bathroom across the hall. It was a nice set up and having the detached bathroom is better than having an ensuite attached, as it was a larger area but still private. I made good use of the bath after a long days drive from Sydney. The downstairs common area was large and inviting, which I didn't really use it because of my one night stay. It would be very handy if I was staying for a few days or more. The B & B is located a little bit back from the river and the main road, which means there were no traffic or noise issues and a short walk up a hill didn't worry me at all. It gets busy in the school holidays and the restaurants can get booked out, so I had dinner at the golf club nearby. That was a good decision. It would have been a pleasant walk to the club, but it was too cold and dark to walk along the river in the Winter months! Breakfast was great that morning and the host was very pleasant to deal with. It is hard to say anything negative about my experience and booking with them direct saved me a few dollars. I would stay here again.

My husband booked a night online. Sharon phoned back to enquire if we had any Service NSW vouchers to use before they expired - and we did. This was very thoughtful and proactive of her. The room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good - be sure to try some of Darren's strawberry jam. We couldn't resist buying two jars as we left. it is also close to the town centre and in walking distance to restaurants. Only thing to be aware of is stairs at the front and to the first floor, where the rooms are. Sharon was very willing to get our suitcases up for us, and in a few years, we will accept the offer. I believe there is a third parking spot that avoids the front stairs. Highly recommended with very pleasant and welcoming owners.

Stayed one night on they way to the Sunshine Coast. It was one of the best B&B’S we have stayed at. Sharon was very welcoming and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean warm and comfortable with so many little extras. Breakfast was delicious with the choice of continental including homemade bread and homemade strawberry jam or a hot breakfast. Great location 10min walk or a few minutes drive to good restaurants and coffee shops. We enjoyed our stay so much we will stop for two nights on our way home !!!!
