Really lovely, comfortable hotel with a 1920's theme from an area that was part of East Germany before Germany was unified. We had a very pleasant stay and the breakfast was magnificent. Not sure what people do in the town but we were only stopping for the one night as we travelled across Germany and this area was our halfway point.

Stayed 2 nights. Good location to railway difficult to access by car. Although once aware easy. Paid Car €15 per night to park few minutes walk. Reception is, in bar area and the staff very welcoming and helpful. Good free WIFI, and paid car parking. There is nice breakfast place next door to hotel. Bedroom was very spacious very clean with TV. 1 comfortable very large 2 single bed clean. Bathroom is ensuite and very clean with toiletries. No coffee making facilities in room. Would highly recommend and would stay again, especially if visiting for train rides, as only 1 minute walk across the road

A really stylish hotel, very pleasant experience breakfast was OK, but the evening meal was a not so brilliant, asking for Rösti potatoes we were given hash browns, not the same thing at all, looked like the Tesco's ones we can get at home.

I had a great one-night stay at the Hotel Nordauser Furstenhof. It is just across the street from the train station and easy to get to with rolling luggage. The room was clean and comfortable, but the decor felt a little like traveling back in time to East Germany. The breakfast was wonderful and just what you would expect from a good German hotel. The front desk staff were kind and helpful and I had no problems during my short stay.

Very good location, just across the main station and very close to the Harz Schmalspur Bahn, which was the reason of our visit. It was clean, unfortunately restaurant was not open when we were there. Worth to visit their bar and try some local liquors.

Een net hotel in ouderwetse stijl ingericht..Het hotel ligt 50 meter van het station…2pers Kamer is niet groot en erg warm, ondanks dat het raam op een kier stond, verder kon hij niet open, want door de straat rijdt laat in de avond een tram. De lounge is niet groot. Restaurant was oké was netjes. Keuze in menu desert was karig.. De schnitzel zou ik niet kiezen, want die was zo geplet, dat hij wel groot en dun was en erg droog..Noet zoals een schnitzel hoort te zijn.. Het ontbijt is vanaf 8 uur en was goed en uitgebreid..
