The location is absolutely fantastic! You're right next to the tram station, and the beach is just a few minutes' walk away. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining and shopping options, and it's super convenient to get to the Q1 Observation Deck and the main shopping areas. The room was spacious and clean, with a private balcony offering comfortable ocean/city views. The bedding was cozy, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom was large with excellent water pressure, and the toiletries were of good quality. Amenities like air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a kettle, fridge, and safe were all available, making for a worry-free holiday. The service was professional and efficient. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in and check-out were quick. Luggage storage was also available. Housekeeping was daily and thorough, keeping everything clean and tidy. The hotel has a pool and a restaurant, with a wide variety of breakfast choices. The rotating restaurant on the top floor offers incredibly beautiful panoramic views. Overall, it offers great value for money, and as an IHG property, the quality is consistently reliable. It's suitable for families, couples, and friends traveling together. In summary: You can't go wrong staying here on the Gold Coast. The location, rooms, and facilities are all top-notch. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

The first night, the floor drain in the room was clogged, the bedside table was very dirty, there was someone else's hair on the bed, and the pillow inserts were also filthy. The only upside was its proximity to the light rail, tram, and the beach. When I first discovered the issues, I contacted the front desk, and they said there was no one on duty that night who could handle it, asking me to wait until the next day. I endured it for a whole night. The next day, it took nearly an hour to sort out a room change; the efficiency was incredibly low. I never expected a Crowne Plaza under the InterContinental brand to be of this standard.

The room was spacious and had a balcony for drying clothes. The hotel also offered self-service coin-operated laundry and drying machines, each costing five dollars, which wasn't cheap. Plus, they charged an extra three dollars at checkout. On the bright side, the light rail station is right outside the hotel, and both check-in and check-out were quick. P.S. We called multiple times for slippers, but they were never delivered even by the time we checked out, leading to extra waiting time. Outdated Room Facilities: The in-room facilities were extremely old, not worth the price, and some areas posed safety hazards. Poor Facility Maintenance: The air conditioning was very noisy, disturbing sleep at night. The minibar in the guest room had no beverages, and only two bottles of water were provided on the first day; everything else had to be paid for. For such an expensive room, it's unbelievable they skimp on water – I've never encountered this in other cities. Poor Dining Quality: Breakfast variety was monotonous, and the hot food section wasn't warm enough. Staff were slow to clear tables. The overall experience did not match the advertised 'high quality.' We also booked the buffet on the 26th floor, which I highly do not recommend. The food selection was limited, and the seafood was not fresh, all frozen. Additionally, all drinks had to be paid for separately. Inefficient Response: Regarding complaints about room issues, customer service only offered verbal apologies, with no actual resolution or compensation. The brand's promise of 'excellent service' was a hollow one. Summary: From hygiene to service, all aspects fell short of the standards expected from an international brand.
