Fengyuehui Homestay (Jinji Lake Scenic Area Suzhou International Expo Center)

I will start with the only two positives: the room is genuinely big and the WiFi was stable. That is where the pleasant parts of the stay end. The apartment itself had a pervasive, unpleasant smell from the moment I checked in. Unfortunately, the cleaning service did nothing to improve the hygiene situation. It felt like the staff only came in to empty the waste bin, as surfaces and floors were definitely not being cleaned properly. However, the most frustrating issue was the total lack of maintenance. Early in my stay, the bathroom sink became completely blocked. I called the staff to report it, and then called them again. For six days straight before my departure, I was told someone would come to fix it. Absolutely no one ever showed up. I ended up giving up and just leaving, frustrated that I had to deal with a non-functioning sink for the better part of a week. In summary, this place is severely lacking in hygiene and professional maintenance. Save your money and your sanity. Avoid this place completely.
