Suzhou Marriott Hotel

Traveling after the holiday, the front desk upgraded our room type, which was a nice gesture. However, the hotel is definitely showing its age, and the location is truly subpar. It's mainly a residential area with very few restaurants nearby, which was quite inconvenient. The pre-sale package included plain noodles! Plain noodles! Plain noodles! That was also unexpected! We ordered toppings, but they weren't good – the shredded eel was mushy, and the pickled vegetables were sweet. I wonder if they mistook sugar for salt... We stayed two nights, and we completely ignored the second serving of plain noodles. Overall, a very disappointing experience!

Marriott's quality remains trustworthy. We brought our family here for a pre-Chinese New Year getaway, and the service and quality were both excellent. The room was very comfortable, with a high floor offering a great view. Zoe was incredibly enthusiastic and provided fantastic service at breakfast, and Lion was very attentive to our dining experience. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Excellent, highly recommended! The guest was very satisfied. They received a free upgrade to a refurbished room, renovated in 2025 (note: there might be a typo in the year, as 2025 is in the future). They would definitely come again if needed. It's a great hotel, positive feedback, definitely a good choice.

The Marriott hotel boasts a grand, luxurious, and upscale design. It's conveniently located with excellent transport links. Our room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, offering a fantastic view. The service was warm and attentive, making for a great overall experience!

I've never stayed at a five-star hotel like this before; I'm afraid to stay at a Marriott again. Look at the coffee they offer! It's worse than what you'd get at a four-star hotel. There was an strange smell in the room, and even though it was a non-smoking floor, the hallway reeked of smoke. I checked in after 3 PM, but didn't get my key until after 5 PM. In short, the facilities are poor, and the management is subpar.

The hotel room is spacious enough, with the grandeur of an old-school five-star hotel. The view is also great, and they even provided complimentary tickets to Hanshan Temple. However, the decor is quite dated, but the price is really good value for money.
