Hotel Indigo Suzhou Grand Canal, an IHG Hotel

Very nice hotel & good service. Just a little bit dark in the corridor. Other than that, everything is good 👍

The hotel overall is good, the location is far from the center but there are some malls around. Breakfast is good. Hard to find somebody who can speak to order room service. The room is great but the AC / heating is not working well, it’s extremely hot during the day (32) and very cold at night (17). So unfortunately this is what we remember..

This is our second time in this hotel. Clean and good location. There are shops and restaurants nearby. MixC shopping mall is just beside the hotel.

It got a broad and clear view above the city. The service was excellent. My family felt comfortable and welcomed.

The hotel is quite new and is well located next to a major shopping center in Suzhou's "new"er district. Check in was quite smooth and staff at front desk is very helpful. The room was well appointed but slightly disappointed at the slightly small-ish living space due to the large bathroom, a smaller than expected walk-in closet with little room for suitcase and lack of larger/second sofa in the room which made lounging a bit more difficult in the room. The room was otherwise comfortable with curtain wall glazing allowing good light penetration, the bedding is good with most IHG products, and the bathroom is comfortable with a large egg-shell type bathtub with excellent view outside. I am slightly disappointed with the breakfast, which although had most of what is on offer at most 5 star hotel, is a very self service affair even with coffee. I found the breakfast selection slightly below average and the western offering is slightly below par (The hotel is mainly forcused for domestic visitors and without international TV offerings) but I have a higher expectation for a five star hotel. The breakfast feels more like a canteen than a five star hotel breakfast, and although quite relaxing it is a bit under serviced iimho. Overall it is a good hotel and well connected with conveinent access to metro. Staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is well appointed. I didn't have a chance to use the amenities of the hotel but from what I gather they are quite well appointed as well. I would say the F&B at the hotel is a bit of a let-down and the room can benefit with larger living space.

This is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at. It’s beautiful, modern, clean and in a great location. The hotel is across from Paradise Walk Mall, which has a variety of restaurants. The area itself is very central and surrounded by different entrances to a metro station. The staff are pleasant, respectful, extremely professional and helpful. The receptionist Yolanda was so accommodating and helped with the process of checking out. I received a gift and a flower from the hotel as a parting gift. The room was clean, spacious, and the view is to die for. The refrigerator was stocked with drinks that I did not have to pay for. I also enjoyed the breakfast option. They had a variety of Chinese and western style meals. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I loved everything about it.

The room was very nice,clean. Service was great, I brought my both over 80‘s parents with me. They got pamppered and welcomed everywhere we went in this hotel. Lovely lobby located at the 46‘s floor,modern and contemporary. Great place for photo shoots.Gym Is Open 24 hours, entrance is easy, self-service just Scan your room card. Swimmingpool open 7:00am till about 22:40pm,just be polite and give them 20minutes to clean and tidy up,though they said open till 11:00am. Breakfast have lots of choices. There are rice noodles and noodles,dimsum,spring rolls, fried dumplings,local cusine such as:青团;发糕, stir-fried dishes。Cold dishes and cereals and yourghts. Fesh fruits. They have soyal bean milk, as well as normal milk. about 4-5 different juices. Coffee made to orders. They will bring your choice of coffee to you. The service is about 6star. Especially little details such as if you need any extra towels ,you can just dial operator. They will immediately bring to your room. Surrounding by shopping center and malls, make eating out easier,plenty choices. Overall this is a cost-efficient, great five star hotel for families even with elderly.

We have 5 people staying for just one night to celebrate my birthday, the experience was pretty bad. She gave us two rooms next to each other, but there were very loud construction noise from the site across the street, our rooms were right there. Of course, we didn't sleep much and the manager trying to fix the issue by offering us an upgrade if we paid for another night. I am wondering what is the logic behind this stupid offer, asking your customer to pay one more night for the mistakes you made, those rooms should not be available if you already know the construction noise nearby. I would expect IHG to do better, this is just plain stupid and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone nor come back ever again, poor judgment from the manager and pure unacceptable offer. Extremely bad experience.

Great room. Comfortable. Great view. Accessible to many restaurants and sights. Breakfast was great with a lot of fresh and well-made dishes. Highly recommend.
