Hotel Belvedere

This hotel claims to be a 4 star property, it’s not. It is several km from the town and is on a hill. It is definitely NOT walking distance to Ohrid town. You have to have your meals at the hotel itself. The room is quite small and despite our asking a twin room, we got a room with 3 beds, eating into the space. The balcony looks out to a stone wall. The AC may or may not work, I am not sure. There are 2 AC units in the room and one is not sure why there are 2 units and if either of them work. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. There are no cups or a kettle. The room is tiny and there is only a single chair for 2 persons. Very disappointing for a hotel that claims 4 or even 5 stars on its website.

Located out of town near the lake. I stayed here as part of a group tour. Staff were friendly. Short walk to restaurants along the lake front. My room was clean & spacious. Everything worked fine. The shower had good hot water & pressure. Breakfast buffet was very good. Overall, I had a comfortable albeit short stay.

Large hotel with large rooms and fancy lobby with old furniture piano and statues. Breakfast was very generous with lots of variety and even fruit smoothie drinks and fish too. It eas located opposite the lake but really far from old town and not walkable

We stayed here two nights when touring Balkan countries. It’s located on a hill overlooking the magnificient Ohrid lake which lays between North Macedonia and Albenia. It’s very close to the lake though you need a car to drive to the city center. Check-in was very fast and the lady at the frontdesk was lovely. I liked lobby area looking like an antique store with clocks, lamps, musical instruments, model ships and porcelain figures. You can spend more time here without getting bored than staying in the room. My room was generously large and had a large balcony with the peaceful forest background. If you prefer a room with lake view, ask for one of the upper floor rooms. Buffet breakfast including local tastes like apple jam, byreks and dry meat was very good. The only badside is to carry heavy luggages from parking lot through a steep slope which can be challenging for elderly and handicapped people. On my overall experience, I would stay here again.

It was my second time staying in this hotel during pharmaceutical congress in Ohrid. The hotel got worsen since my last visit in 2016th. I had a room on the first flor with mountain view. The room was spacious, with one king size bed, the carpet old and dusty. The bathroom was average. Again I did not like the glass sink where every stain can be spotted. The taps were clunky. The beddings and linens were clean. The location is ok if you want to be close to the beach, but not ok if you like to be close to the city center and in that case you need a car. If you do not have a car, be ready for the taxi drivers to rip you off. The beach is close, only across the street. The food was average, buffet for breakfast and portions for lunch and dinner. All in all, the hotel needs refreshment and some reworking.
