Novotel Sydney City Centre

"As this was a business trip, I didn’t have the opportunity to use the facilities. However, the cleanliness of the room was extremely poor—it was very dusty and unacceptable. See pictures attached. I spoke with a female staff member over the phone, and her initial response was that she couldn’t communicate the issue about the dusty room herself and that I needed to submit a cleaning request. To my surprise, she said I would have to wait until the next day and inform her colleagues in the morning, as she was unable to pass on the message. Thankfully, a male staff member kindly assisted in arranging for the housekeeper to deep clean the room while I was away at a meeting. He was helpful and friendly, which I really appreciated. That said, it seemed like the housekeeper wasn’t very thorough with the cleaning—perhaps they just didn’t want to put in the effort. I was too exhausted to raise another complaint at that point. To be fair to the female staff member, she did follow through with my suggestion to exchange rooms, though she warned me that all rooms were similar. After inspecting the one she proposed, I found the dust level to be about the same, so I decided not to switch and instead focused on cleaning the room myself.

The hotel location is 2 mins away from Wynyard station. Can walk to the rock, opera house and circular quay. Room is abit small particular the bathroom The bed sheet is weird Breakfast was good Service so so

The location is in the city center, there are 2 Japanese restaurants that operate until 10 PM on the left side of the hotel main door , and there is a convenience store on the right side of the door that operates until 2 AM, which feels like a 24-hour store. There is a Starbucks across from the convenience store on the right. Very convenient. The hotel's cocktails are also very good to drink, being lazy to go out, order a drink downstairs and read a book is very good. The hotel breakfast is a very traditional Australian breakfast, bacon, hash browns, eggs, milk, fruit. It has everything you need, and it's amazing that there are special dishes from the chef every day. The first day was fried rice, and the second morning was bread with a soft-boiled egg and cheese sauce on top, which was delicious A 5-minute walk away to Barangaroo Where I see is that there are many restaurants with different flavors, this time I tried Thai food, it is really authentic, business dinner here is a good choice. This is also a ferry station, but I don't know where it goes.

The shower looked really nice, but the glass screen was inadequate - a lot of the bathroom floor got soaked when I used the shower. The water went hot and cold during the shower for no reason. The person cleaning the room neglected to provide a bathmat the next day, so had to use a towel to wipe up the floor. Otherwise the room was good, bed comfy and facilities/service good.

Nice hotel..good location near metro and bus stop. Clean hotel and very friendly staff.
