The location is great and just right next to central world where has Coles and eateries. The hotel staff is friendly. The room is a small and slightly outdated. But it is clean. Inside the room hv a microwave. The shower room is the biggest down as the door is unable to open full. We’re Asian, we feel difficulty everytime need to enter or walk out. Wonder how other do that. Other than that, everything is perfect.

Good location, only 5 mins walk to Chinatown tram stop, 8 mins walk to Museum train station. It locates in the city heart 👍🏻. Nice and kind staff. Hotel room is clean. Only if you hang the service card outside the door, room service will clean your room at your preferred time. Air-con works well. Do recommend Ibis syd to friends.

The hotel location is quite convenient but that comes at the cost of being very loud on a night time due to nearby bars that play music extremely loud into the early hours of the morning.
The rooms are a decent size considering the price with a good amount of storage. They are fairly modern and generally clean however we had a bad experience with the cleaning staff.
When making the bed they threw our pyjama and blanket on the ground and left them there: after complaining to the front desk they didn’t leave things on the ground but didn’t make the bed properly -
1) the sheets were so poorly put on the fluffy mattress topper underneath the sheet was exposed and I had to remake it myself,
2) another day they just left the blankets dropped onto one of the beds.
Also, the body wash provided by the hotel had been topped up with water. The cleaner didn’t wash or give clean mugs or spoons nor did they provide more sugar or coffee. They also didn’t give us hand towels on one of the days.

Excellent location and close to shops, food and whatever you need as business travellers. Also due to the location it’s a bit noisy at night but bearable.

My stay was for attending a conference in Sydney. A basic hotel stay - no frills, I was only in the room for sleeping.
Pros: Proximity to World Square and Chinatown was ideal. Hair and body wash were provided, need to bring all other amenities.
Cons: Thin walls, corridor traffic, cleaners, elevator doors, external noise all audible. Furniture, bathroom fixtures are worn and scuffed; dust on furniture surfaces, inside safes, cupboards and drawers, aircon unit and light fixtures.

The location is excellent as its across the street from World Square. The rooms are small and compact. The doors are heavy and slam, very annoying at night as the walls are pretty thin. You can hear your guests in the room next door talking. The bathroom door couldn't be closed properly and the shower door, so water leaked onto the floor after showering. They also had some strange signage about leaving the doors open when you shower to avoid a $1600 fine for setting off the fire alarm- due to steam/heat from the shower. It was written in such a way that did not make sense at all. Aside from the great location, it was just far too noisy of a place to stay.
