Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park

I recently stayed at this hotel (4D3N) and had a great experience. They allowed me to check in early, which was very convenient. The location is fantastic, with the nearest tram station just a 12-minute walk away. And 20 mins away from the airport via Uber. The room was comfortable and met all my needs. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.

The hotel location is good. It is very close to Central Station. The room was huge. But the lighting for the work desk was so dim. You may need extra concentration if you need to work. Since the room was very long, it would be a bit of distance to watch TV from the bed.

A very good hotel in a great location. It's an easy walk to Central, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, as well as some shopping. The room was clean and tidy and a good size.

The services are not satisfying. When we arrived at the hotel, front desk told us that there was no double room available, and would change the room on the 2nd day. We agreed given it was quite late. So we packed our bags in the next morning and told the front desk we would get back in the noon. As discussed, we should have the new room ready when we were back. BUT, nobody prepared our new room when we were outside, and we ended up waiting for 2 hours. AFTER me reporting the issue to the manager, we have a temporary room for refreshment, instead of waiting in the lobby. Note that this option is NOT offered in the beginning. I’d say the whole process is very unprofessional.

The location is nice, and service is good. The bad thing is there are bed bugs, for two nights. Luckily the kid is fine but we adults got bitten.

Overall it was a really nice stay. Clean big rooms however the breakfast really needs to improve. Location wise it’s near Chinatown and walking distance to many amenities.

The exterior looks really nice, so is lobby and the gym. But when you actually stay there you will see bunch of problem. I have seen other reviews complaining about bed sheet is stained. It is true for me as well, I have asked them to change it 2 times. And it is still stained. I just gave up. The second day, I notice there is hair behind pillows (check the photo) Aside from the terrible cleanliness. They don’t provide you any toothbrush nor slippers or pajamas (Only toothbrush is provided when asked) The card on elevator have terrible detection. Including me, I have seen a lot of people unable to swipe their cards. The location is decent with many destination nearby (universities, central station, hay market, star ******), the gym was good with few people and enough equipment to work around with, the staff was nice and help me with all request but very slow. (Perhaps understaffed, except for check-in and check-out time, I only see 1-2 staff on counter, none early morning) Took them 3 hours to bring me a set of toothbrush. Except for the cleanliness, it is not a major problem. But considering the price you pay, (5 star hotel price) this is a terrible experience. I have stayed in Sofitel, and the experience there were so much better with only 10% higher price charged than in this hotel. (Most 5 star hotel is only 10-20% higher than this hotel charged) Overall, it is decent for a average hotel standard but not acceptable for a hotel charging near 5 star prices for me.

Good location, questionable hygiene in surrounding, spotted a few cockroach wandering outside the hotel and on the windows, probably a common problem in Sydney. Service is the worst I had compared with other Sheraton branches. Not worth the price.

Nice and serviceminded staff. New, clean and nice hotel with large rooms. The breakfast is really good and with plenty to choose from. Too bad that there is not more focus on the bar area, which would give more life in the area around and outside. The location is good, quiet area, but in ok walking distance to the shopping and harbor area. All in all, you get significantly more than you pay for. I'll definitely stay here again next time.
