Was returning with family (4 persons) from a short break in Italy, needed to stay over a night on the road, and this place seemed to be a natural and convenient choice, on the highway. Check in was ok, circa 23:00. Rooms were not big, but cosy. Early morning needed to leave (7:00), decided to grab 4 coffees and 4 mini croissants at the gas station (motel & station function together). Ordered that, gave 20 euro bill, and gas station cashier lady gave the change of 1.5€ !!! We demanded receipt - but she faked to not understand me, certainly didn’t give the check. We persisted, and so she gave .. + 1000 HUForints (less than 3€)… why 1000? why not less or more..? We were puzzled and felt deceived. Than insisted to pay with a bank card, requested to reverse our cash transaction. This all was followed by demonstrative annoyance and anger from the lady’s side. We persisted, so finally paid/got our bank terminal receipt (not fiscal from the cash register, still). And the amount for those coffees/bakery was 3711 HUF (9,7€). Would be a blunt rip off, if we would not watch. After that we wanted to return motel rooms’ keys at the gas station desk, like normal procedure and continue our trip, but… were told TO WAIT TILL 09:00, when the reception desk would open (obviously not a 24:00 hour service). Being foreigners, decided to wait, to avoid any problems, but constantly felt humiliated!!! Thieves, that’s all we can say! Watch out there!!!
