Hotels in Fengjia Night Market, Taichung

The room was quite spacious and well-appointed. The service was excellent; when we needed more hangers, the front desk promptly provided them. The hotel is conveniently located, not far from Fengjia Night Market. Highly recommended!

Every month, we relax at a hotel for three days. We've been to so many hotels, but this is the first time I've encountered so many rooms with substandard air conditioning. The first one was the worst. We set the AC to 20 degrees Celsius, and after four hours, it was still 29 degrees. When we moved to the second room, we also set it to 20 degrees Celsius. We even asked the front desk for a fan, and it took four hours to get it down to 26 degrees. The front desk staff also checked several rooms, and the air conditioning was only warm. It was truly outrageous. This is the first time I've encountered a hotel with substandard air conditioning.

The room is on the 5th floor. It was very clean when I entered. The temperature was a little low and cold. The bathroom had a bidet toilet and the tap water was large and the temperature was good. However, the shower head water was small and the temperature was not very hot. This is a shortcoming. There are no other problems.

emenities was use by own. They got the recycle things so toiletries need to self prepare. They only provide body shampoo and towels those. Location is nearby fengjia night market. Cosmed watsons convenience stores are located nearby the hotel area. Far from taichung train station and taichung highspeed rail station. Self service check in/out. If have any issues, front desk still have a staff to assist/help.

The Check Inn Express hotel offers self service check in and check out. For our 2 stays here, several days apart, the check in did not work. The trip.com booking reference was not recognized, a non-Taiwan phone number also is not accepted and the email option likewise did not work. The first time we called a number at the desk, no answer for a while then finally two house-leaning staff appeared and checked us in (manually).  It is not clear if this is a trip.com or hotel technical issue.  The lobby is sparse to say the least, the left luggage area is an unattended space, but local honesty and courtesy make it okay nonetheless to leave your cases there for a few hours. Taiwan rules seem to be no check in before 15:00 or even 16:00 in one place, from our experience in Tainan, Taichung and Taipei.   All this being said, the staff we did interact with at Check Inn Express were friendly and helpful, even if the check in process failed. Check out is very swift and it worked well using their self service terminal.

If you like Fengjia Night Market, it's right in front, so it's great for sightseeing! However, the night market really opens at night... There's nothing there during that time, lol. But the hotel is really clean and has windows, so it's nice. The luggage storage is actually just behind the counter... It's unmanned, lol. I just leave it on the first floor and leave, so I'm a little worried, but there's nothing I can do about it! Taichung itself is quiet and secluded, so it's nice~ This hotel is far from everything except Fengjia Night Market~ Please take that into consideration when making a reservation.

Very convenient location, only 20 mins walk to Fengjia night market. Plenty of food available in the area. Friendly and courteous front desk. Good food choices (although slightly salty to my taste), some vegetarian options available. We did not request room service but was able to get free bottles of water upon request at the lobby. Room size is much bigger than expected and very clean. Lots of space to put luggage and belongings unlike the tiny and average rooms in Taipei of the same standard. Highly recommended. 👌👍

Great location.just a short walk to the night market and surrounded by many great restaurants. The room was spacious and well-equipped, except for some essentials like toothbrush and toothpaste, which they asked us to prepare in advance. I especially loved the big bathtub, much larger than typical one I've been before.

The Fengjia commercial district boasts superb amenities. It's just a short walk to the lively Fengjia Night Market, home to hundreds of street food stalls and restaurants, offering an incredible array of food, from classic favorites like Da Chang Bao Xiao Chang and Minglun Dan Bing to the latest innovative eats. Transportation is a breeze, with the Wenhua Senior High School MRT station and numerous bus stops nearby. Plus, direct access to Provincial Highway 74 makes getting to downtown Taichung or connecting to major highways incredibly convenient. This perfect blend of culinary convenience and commuting ease makes it ideal for both long-term residents and travelers seeking a vibrant and accessible lifestyle.

This small studio suite is perfect for solo travelers. Its location, incredibly close to Fengjia Night Market, is a huge plus. The only minor drawback is the small electric water heater in the bathroom, which resulted in low water pressure and volume. This means showering might be a bit chilly in winter, and you won't get a powerful, refreshing spray. However, it's equipped with both air conditioning and a fan, ensuring a cool and comfortable sleep at night. Cable TV is also provided. Definitely a good option for budget-conscious travelers!
