Hotels in Guguan, Taichung

The attitude of the service staff at the counter, restaurant, and handicraft workshop is very good ~ the rich chicken set dinner is also good, the handmade towel dog is also very interesting, the room is comfortable and the bed is very comfortable.

Excellent service. They offer free rides between hotel and the nearest bus terminal. We got a slightly early check in and a free upgrade to the latest renovated family room. Food was clearly stated as vegan/vegetarian or not, very vegan-friendly. Spas in the bathroom were very clean. Toilet flushed down well(which was a problem I was concerned whenever I stayed in Taiwan). Beds for two were king-sized beds. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were very spacious. The down side about the spa area is that there is not much to do there. Although it was a 1.5 hour bus trip from Feng Yuan, I think it worthed a night there if you are looking for doing nothing.

The hotel facilities are old, but overall they are neat. The breakfast is quite rich. The attached hot spring facilities are great. The location is good. Whether you want to go out on the street or go to attractions, it is in the middle.

One question was confirmed three times, but the on-site service staff was very 👌🏻 Price 2 stars: Compared with other hoshinowas in Japan, this one in Guguan not only does not include meal charges, but also charges each item separately, causing trouble for passengers. Moreover, the taste and sophistication cannot be equated with the price, and they are a bit deceived into spending meal charges. It feels like accommodation charges in Japan include at least one stay and two meals❌

I misread the description in Chinese so this was partly my fault for booking a rather shabby room! The staff were very helpful and friendly though, so that was really lovely. The location was great, and I could easily get around. The only thing was really the amenities inside the room for this room type was flabbergasting! In short, every item inside was just old and of bare quality. You can have old furniture but have the furniture well-maintained. To name a few, the slippers provided were torn, the inside of the fridge was rusty, and there was no shower curtain inside the bathroom! The price was within my budget during peak season and I didn’t want to spend more, plus all other rooms were full, so I didn’t have much to complain about my stay. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious enough. But objectively speaking for the price I was charged, it was definitely pricey given the quality of the room. All I can say is, the photos provided by the hotel were definitely adjusted heavily for lighting and colour. Nevertheless I enjoyed my stay as the room fit my purpose for the stay. It was rather cozy. :)

Visited again, it is as clean as ever, the hot spring is comfortable and the room is tidy. Parking is a bit inconvenient. There is no parking lot and there is nothing to walk around. Suitable for couples. Breakfast is OK. 600 per person. Dinner is a bit expensive.

The hotel's parking lot is upstairs at the 7-11 opposite the hotel. Right outside the hotel is Kuai Chao Street, which is really convenient!

The room is small but nicely furnished. Everything is new and my room has a good view of the traffic rotary. It is conveniently located next to the main strain station. Finding the hotel building is a different story. The hotel name and the name on Google Maps don't match and the locals don't seem to know it. To walk to the hotel (3-5 minutes), I have to walk past scores of homeless elderly people sleeping around the station. I wish the city government to do more to help the poor. During my stay, I may have experienced an earthquake from the aftershocks of the April earthquake. I went back to sleep...

There was a promotion during our period of stay, however, the front desk did not give us the gift during our check in. Only when we saw the promotion flyer in our room and went down to ask the front desk then they gave us the free gift. Other than the above, the hotel is great! The toilet on the second floor is very clean. My kids love the playground and the slide. Can see that the curtain and window were well maintained and cleaned. The switches are clean too! Small details are very well taken care of. It is also very near Taichung station. Will choose this hotel again!

This hotel located near the old train station. If you took the highspeed rail to Taichung you have to transfer to a bus or a railway train to get to the hotel. There are no MRT station near the hotel. Either you take a taxi or bus. The room has a maximum of two persons, I stayed with a roommate since the room I booked is a dormitory. The room is super clean and big enough for one person, with one shower room shared by two roommate. The are laundry and dryer available. There is a rooftop where you can enjoy the star at night. I will definitely stay here again if I ever return to Taichung.
