Hotel Midtown Richardson

Facilities: The room was so small I could barely move around to get dressed. Cleanliness: The carpet on the entire floor looked waterlogged, with peeling sections and large stains everywhere, from the hallway to the room itself, without exception. The room's cleanliness was a serious concern, with unknown stains all over the crevices. The in-room facilities were so unhygienic that I felt the need to clean them myself before use. I booked a city view room, but there was no city view; all I could see out the window were other rooms' windows, which was quite depressing. The curtains were also broken and wouldn't stay closed.

The location is decent, but the room had a strange odor. The carpets in the hallways and rooms were old and dirty, and the cleanliness was practically non-existent. Housekeeping would even leave trash bags right outside the room doors, which I've almost never seen! This is a major oversight for a hotel, especially considering it's over $100 per night. Another ridiculous thing is that the hotel only provides two bottles of drinking water, and you have to reuse the empty bottles to refill them, no matter how many days you stay. This is the first time I've ever encountered something like this! (The hotel claims it's for environmental reasons), but it's absolutely awful!

The hotel's location is fantastic, right outside Metro Exit 5. The only slight drawback is the soundproofing. We booked a twin room, and it felt like one of the beds was directly above the neighboring room's water pipes, so we'd hear noise every time they turned on the water.
