Hotel Papa Whale

Very bad experience!! Roaches in room!! They didn’t even bother to offer room exchange. I had to ask for them to do that. Breakfast was so bad. Don’t bother buying that voucher. I would never ever book this again!

The room is clean, good location, and nice staff. But some of the travelers are quite loud. Overall is good to stay!

The lobby and common areas live up more to a 3-star rating, but the rooms don’t even get to that level. My room was starkly minimalist, lacking basic amenities (there wasn't even hand soap and the sink, toilet and shower were all separated by walls..). For the premium price (over 230USD/night), this felt like a hostel experience, not a luxury one. Cannot recommend.

1. First look of room, very dark even the light is all open. 2. I realise my neat and tidy belonging was become messy when i came back at night. Cleaner flip my belongings, bags and other things. I no report because i didnt realise if i have anything gone missing. 3. Bed is not so clean, wake up in the morning, body full of itchy dots. 4. TV is very good, can watch movie all the time. 5. Aircon super power cold. 6. Breakfast is good too. 7. Customer service not so friendly.

Need to check the condition before use, some smell for the pillow, after sleep have some itchy, the wall have some animal theme, for me have got crow is quite scary, have heard from the cleaner have few customers feedback before, can request from the counter staff to cover the wall,but still fall down,

Perhaps one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The location is incredibly convenient, just a 10-15 minute walk from Ximending station, making it easy to explore the area. The room was spacious and well-appointed, complete with complimentary bottled water. I appreciated that the housekeeping staff cleaned the room daily, provided you didn’t activate the ‘do not disturb’ button. The hotel features a unique underwater or submarine theme, which adds a fun and immersive atmosphere. I booked a room without windows, and while the lighting was somewhat dim, it created a cozy ambiance that I found quite pleasant. The receptionists were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. A thoughtful addition to the hotel is the luggage scale available for guests, allowing you to weigh your bags before checking out—definitely a great touch! We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which I would rate a perfect 10/10! There was an impressive variety of food options, including a delightful hotpot selection. The bathroom facilities were well-designed, with the toilet and shower room separated for added convenience. They provided complimentary body wash and shampoo, and I was pleased to see that the bed sheets were changed daily, ensuring a fresh and clean environment throughout my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location, friendly service, and thoughtful amenities!
