We stayed at the Salt Lick Lodge for one night and did some extra activities as well. One of them was a cooking class at Taita Hills and it was a really great experience! We were cooking in the middle of their huge vegetable garden. We first got a nice tour of the garden by Sausi after which we had to fish for our own fish from the pond. We hand picked fresh veggies from the garden to go with our fish as well. After that we prepared and cooked everything together with the chefs Emanuel and Betty, who were great and so much fun! Also the host Crescencia was there to help us with anything we needed. It was a truly great experience and the food was amazing! There was even more food than what we prepared so we had a delicious lunch. All in all a fully recommended experience which is great value for money for only 20USD per person! Thanks again!

Taita Hills has carved a niche for itself that is world class standard from courteous and honest employees, to impeccable services, local and intercontinental menu. Equipped vehicles and top rangers to take you round the wild and share knowledge with you. Clean rooms with fresh atmosphere. The whole ambience is healing!!!! Taita didn't leave the kids out with a kids club and museum to explore. You definitely want to bring the kids along. The experience is mind blowing and worth every penny you spend. I will surely come for another summer experience.

We had our class trip here and we had a blast! From the food, to the environment to the Game Drive, to the hospitality, everything was TOP NOTCH! Sadly we were only there for 2 days but we made sure we got the most out of the hotel the last day and we definitely did! The staff were really nice and helpful which made our experience even better! I definitely recommend the hotel as a place to go and relax as you get a sense of peace!

The Lodge was a lovely setting and buffets great for breakfast, lunch and dinner (although we ate too much!) Safari was awe inspiring and we saw so much. This place is made even better because of the amazing staff. They bend over backwards to assist but are also friendly and chatty, making the stay that bit more special. Shout out to Patterson and Rose who looked after us at mealtimes. Their friendliness and attentiveness was appreciated. John was lovely too. The girls at the pool bar ( one named Catherine but didn't clock the other) were so sweet, kind and helpful, they made it a pleasure being down at the poolside. The pool itself is top class. Warm and clean. Also hanging over the edge watching wildlife on the outer reaches was just amazing. Would highly recommend Taita Hills.

After 2 weeks of loving our time roughing it camping in beautiful locations all around Kenya, we could not believe our eyes when we got to Taita Hills! It has the perfect blend of luxury, serenity, wildlife, amazing staff, FANTASTIC FOOD, and amazing conservation promotion and practices. I truly hope I get the privilege to return again in the future. It was my dad and his partner’s first time in Kenya and Africa and it was amazing they also got to experience their first night safari at Taita Hills. I can’t thank you all for your kindness, hospitality, and passion for the conservation message. Asante sana tena Shedrack (ama “macho”) for your amazing services to us. I can’t wait to be back again.
