WangtingWaиgⰔⱄᐝTraveling to Taiyuan, I booked the City View Hotel based on recommendations from others.
As soon as we entered the room, it felt really comfortable. My son immediately said he loved it. The room was spacious and the layout was pleasing. The desk was quite large, perfect for my son to do his homework and attend online classes. The bedside table had a recessed surface, so things wouldn't easily fall off. Besides USB charging ports, there were also iPhone plugs. Under the TV, there was a long shelf for placing items. The toilet and bathroom were separate, independent rooms. There were two sinks and a large counter space. Upon entering, there was a large area where you could sit and place belongings.
The Line 2 subway station is not far downstairs. It's a 15-minute drive from the airport. Getting to Zhonglou Street, Jinci Temple, and the Shanxi Museum all take about 20-some minutes.
The only downsides are that the hotel is located near an elevated highway, so the soundproofing isn't great. You can hear cars passing by, which slightly bothered me as I'm a light sleeper. It seems to be in a newer district, so there aren't many places to explore nearby, requiring a bit more travel. This was my first time staying at a City View Hotel, and overall, I was satisfied.

Anonymous UserA Very Relaxing and Memorable Stay
From the moment I walked into the hotel, I could feel a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The Front Office staff were very friendly and helpful. They took the time to talk with us, explain things, and made the check-in process very smooth.
The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. I really liked the soft and relaxing colors of the room. The bed was big and comfortable, and the pillows were very soft. The bathroom, toilet, and dressing area were also well separated and well organized. There were also plenty of amenities in the room.
I liked the evening turndown service. When we came back to the room in the evening, the bed had already been prepared, the lights were adjusted to a relaxing level, and there was a small snack next to the bed. After spending the whole day outside, this made us feel very relaxed and helped us forget how tired we were.
The room was also very quiet. The curtains had two layers, so almost no sunlight came into the room in the morning. The air conditioner could be adjusted to the temperature we wanted, and the air did not blow directly onto us. We could not hear much noise from outside, so we had a very good night’s sleep.
The breakfast had many choices. Since we stayed during 国庆 holiday, there were quite a lot of guests, so we had to wait around 10–15 minutes when we went down late. But I think this was understandable because the hotel was quite busy.
I really enjoyed having the chance to try some local food from Taiyuan, Shanxi, such as 老豆腐, 刀削面, and 担担面. There were also bread, fruit, coffee, salad, Western food, and many Chinese dishes. There was something for everyone. The staff were also very attentive and regularly helped clear the plates.
Another thing I really liked was the location. We could walk directly from the hotel into Maoye Mall through the back entrance, which was very convenient.
After checking out, we could also leave our luggage at the hotel. Ivy, kindly helped us with this, and I really appreciated her help.
I was especially impressed by the Front Office staff, both when we checked in and when we checked out. They were the first people who welcomed us and the last people who said goodbye to us, and they made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.
I was very happy to have the chance to give them a small gift(mini bread) as a thank you for taking such good care of us :)
Overall, we had a really wonderful and relaxing stay here. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making us feel so comfortable and welcome.
If I have the chance to visit Taiyuan again, I will definitely stay here again. ❤️

Guest UserThe stay was very comfortable. The free airport transfer was very practical. I didn't have to take a taxi myself, which was very worry-free. The room was also very clean. The sheets and quilt covers were all spotless. The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. She would actively recommend good restaurants nearby and patiently answer any questions I had. If you are transiting near Taiyuan Airport or need to stay overnight, you can consider this hotel. It is very cost-effective and I will choose this hotel again next time I visit Taiyuan!

@wentian1. The hotel boasts an excellent location, and parking is incredibly convenient with plenty of available spaces.
2. Having stayed in hundreds, if not thousands, of hotels, I can confidently say that the cleanliness here is exceptionally rare. The sheets and floors were completely free of hair, the sink had no stains, and the toilet not only lacked any unpleasant odors but even had a subtle, pleasant aroma. The housekeeping is truly outstanding. They even thoughtfully provided hand cream on the bathroom vanity.
3. On the day of check-in, because I booked late, all the family rooms and suites were fully booked, leaving only twin rooms with 1.2-meter beds. These beds are a bit narrow. It would be even better if the hotel could replace the 1.2-meter twin beds with 1.35-meter or even 1.5-meter twin beds.
4. The hotel only offers a laundry service charged per item, with no self-service washing machines. For guests traveling for extended periods, a self-service washing machine is an essential must-have. It would be great if the hotel could add self-service laundry facilities.

auraineStaying at Sanxi Yin Quan was an absolutely fantastic experience! The entire place has an antique charm with a strong Jin-style courtyard vibe. The design is exquisite and clever, perfectly matching the aesthetic of Taiyuan Ancient City. The room was clean and tidy, with thoughtful details that made for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The staff were warm and attentive, providing thorough and detailed service. After exploring the ancient city, it was so therapeutic and relaxing to return and have a quiet night's rest. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Taiyuan Ancient City, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance!

Anonymous UserI stayed for 4 days. There was almost no service. I arrived at the hotel at 4 PM, and although they helped me arrange a higher floor, I waited for almost an hour, and the room they arranged was still not ready. They then switched me to another room on the same floor. The lobby was very hot, and all the temporary resting spots were directly in the sun. When I got upstairs, I was a bit dumbfounded to find my room directly facing the elevator. Oh well, I checked in. The check-in experience wasn't great. Disposable toiletries weren't replenished promptly; besides toilet paper, you literally only got them once. For a 4-day stay (2 days booked via a group deal, 2 days via other platforms), the bedside power outlet didn't work. I had to unplug the table lamp to charge my phone, and that outlet was just awful. The floor-to-ceiling window blinds were very dirty, covered in dust. For the same pre-sale price, Shangri-La offers much better value for money. Kempinski seemed forced into pre-selling, almost as if they don't want future guests. There are just too many options in Taiyuan for this price point.

Title: A PERFECT 10/10! Pet-friendly paradise with the best view in Taiyuan! 🐾❤️
I cannot recommend Yiyun Hotel (Taiyuan Station West Square Subway Station Liu Xiang) enough! This stay was absolutely incredible and completely exceeded my expectations.
First and foremost, a massive thank you to the hotel for being so welcoming to my two fur babies (my dog babies)! 🐶🐶 Finding a place that not only allows pets but treats them with such kindness and respect is rare. The staff went above and beyond to make sure both my pups and I felt comfortable and at home. They are truly amazing employees—so warm, professional, and attentive to every detail. They are a credit to this hotel!
The room itself was fantastic. We had an awesome view from the window overlooking the city scenery, which was just beautiful to wake up to. It added such a special touch to our trip.
But the location? UNBEATABLE. You simply cannot beat it.
· Transport: The subway station is literally right in front of the main door of the hotel. You are connected to the entire city instantly.
· Tourist Spots: All the great tourist attractions are within easy walking distance. We barely needed transport because everything was so accessible!
If you are visiting Taiyuan, whether for business, leisure, or especially if you are traveling with pets, stop looking and book this hotel. It is very, very highly recommended.
I will definitely come back to this amazing hotel the next time I’m in town. Thank you again to the whole team at Yiyun Hotel for a flawless stay

On my trip to Taiyuan, I chose the Boran Hotel, and its location is absolutely fantastic. It's right next to Liuxiang Bell Tower Street, so as soon as you step out, you're in Taiyuan's most bustling central business district. It's incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and visiting attractions. You can walk to Bell Tower Street, Liuxiang, and Food Street, completely eliminating any worries about transportation.
The hotel's overall environment is clean and comfortable, with a simple yet elegant decor. As soon as I entered, I felt a warm and inviting atmosphere. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and attentive; check-in was quick and efficient, and they patiently answered all my questions, making me feel very welcome.
The room was clean and tidy, with a well-designed layout. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a sound sleep. The cleanliness details were excellent, and the facilities were quite complete, with plenty of hot water and good sound insulation. I had a very quiet rest at night, completely undisturbed by the lively commercial area outside.
Staying right next to Bell Tower Street was great. After a day of sightseeing, I could return and relax properly, and in the evening, I could head out to explore the night market and try Taiyuan's specialty snacks. The overall experience was excellent. The hotel offers great value for money; the location, service, and cleanliness were all satisfying. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Taiyuan in the future, and I highly recommend it to friends traveling here.

An old five-star hotel with very high cost performance. In particular, the front office service is very good, and the lobby manager Wang Jue is attentive.
