Business Hotel Kanaya

Overall, it's an acceptable place. It's obvious that the staff is trying to make it cozy. The rooms are quite old, but inside, everything is generally clean. This wasn't a problem, as there's a lot to see in the city.

This is a budget hotel in the city center. Conveniently located, next to the bus station and not far from Amaterasu Railway. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to the gorge. It looks old from the outside, but the rooms are quite decent. There is everything you need and in good condition - a heater, a refrigerator, a kettle, a hair dryer. The futon is comfortable. The bathroom and toilet are also in good condition. For such a price, there are no complaints. Check-in at 15:00, before that time there was no one at the reception.

The signs installed by the hotel on the outer wall of the building are in Japanese and there are no names or signs in the hotel lobby. We almost couldn't find them. The two rooms I booked were very small, and all the equipment (including toilets, bathrooms, beds, tables and chairs in the rooms) were very old and dirty. There were blood stains and stains on the chairs, the shower curtain was slippery, and the toilet seat was loose. There were moldy stains on the side of the bathtub, the slippers provided were old and dirty, and the altar in the corridor outside the room was old and dirty. This is the worst and filthiest B&B and small hotel we have stayed in during our travels to rural towns in Japan over the past few years. It is completely inconsistent with the photos provided for reference on Trip.com and there is a huge gap. I am really disappointed and angry. It cannot be called a "hotel", so we will give it a big negative review this time! !
