Environment: The best choice for island hopping. It's conveniently located, not far from the pier. It's a quiet oasis right in the bustling city center. You can find plenty of food and shops right downstairs, just a 5-10 minute walk away. Facilities: The main draw for me was the hot springs, perfect for relaxing after a day of island hopping. Very comfortable and soothing. Service: The service was just average. The breakfast was good though. Starting the day of island hopping with a warm breakfast was great.

The room is quite compact, with a 1.4-meter double bed, leaving very limited space to move around. The hot springs on the hotel's top floor are a definite bonus! They offer complimentary ice cream (3:00 PM - 12:00 AM) and Yakult (5:00 AM - 10:00 AM). After 9:30 PM, you can also enjoy hot spring ramen. For breakfast, they serve udon with tempura, which is very authentic and delicious. As for transportation, take the bus from Takamatsu Airport to Chuo Koen-mae (Central Park). After getting off, walk back a bit, and you'll see the Dormy Inn next to a gas station. From the hotel, if you turn right, you can walk to the Michelin-starred Ritsurin Garden. Turning left will take you to Takamatsu Port, where you can catch various island-hopping ferries. There are also many great restaurants directly across from the hotel. Overall, aside from the room being too small, everything else was fine.

We booked this hotel for island hopping in the Seto Inland Sea. It's a bit of a walk from Takamatsu Port, but we walked there and back. It was fine when we arrived in the evening, but the sun was really intense and hot when we checked out in the morning. It was quite expensive because it coincided with a holiday; usually, it would be under 1,000 yen, but the price doubled during this period. The hot spring bath was excellent, the late-night ramen was fantastic, and breakfast was good too. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I return to Takamatsu. Facilities: Has a hot spring, breakfast, and late-night ramen. Cleanliness: Good. Environment: Near Central Park.

Compared to the popular Clement Hotel in this city, these are two completely different hotels, but both are my favorites. I recommend alternating stays at each for a few days. This hotel doesn't offer cleaning services and lacks scenic views, but: It has a wonderful hot spring ♨️. After walking tens of thousands of steps every day, the best thing is to soak in the hot spring! It has amazing ice cream 🍦. After a hot spring bath, the best thing is to cool down with an ice cream! It has comforting udon noodles 🍜. Every night before bed, the best thing is to go downstairs for a bowl of chewy udon!

Let's start with the location: the hotel is right across from the airport shuttle stop, and there's a new, pretty affordable BBQ joint nearby that's worth checking out. As for the airport shuttle across the street, you can catch the bus after 10 AM in the morning. For the buses after 9:50 AM, the chances of getting a seat at this stop are very slim, and you'll likely have to sit in the very back. The buses after 10 AM are very empty, so you can sit wherever you like. Now, about the hotel facilities: they initially gave us room 605, and the smell of urine in the bathroom was disgusting. After we spoke to the front desk, they immediately moved us to another room, which had no strange odors. The bed was quite comfortable, and the room was spacious. The hotel's top floor has a hot spring bath, and the washing machine is also located there, though it seems rarely used. Regarding hotel services: in the evening, they offer popsicles on the top floor, and in the morning, they provide lactic acid drinks similar to Yakult. After 9 PM, they even serve complimentary ramen. Overall, Dormy Inn is definitely worth a stay.
