Live my Life Diary
This is my third time in Khao Lak, but my first stay at this hotel. Overall, it was excellent! The staff in every department were friendly and cheerful. There are plenty of activities at the hotel, making it perfect for anyone who wants to spend their vacation relaxing without getting bored.
The hotel has a large main pool and separate pools for each building.
Breakfast was great with a wide variety of choices. There was also a fresh coffee machine that looked quite standard and good quality.
The hotel property is quite deep. If you walk from the front of the hotel to the beach, it's a bit of a trek. If you have luggage, you'll have to drag it a fair distance. However, the hotel offers a buggy service to pick you up from your building; you can call for it anytime. But when we checked out, we were in a hurry, so we ended up walking and dragging our bags ourselves because the staff said the buggy would take about 10 minutes to arrive.
Another thing is that during checkout, the staff mentioned we had to wait about 7 minutes for housekeeping to check the room (so allow extra time if you're in a rush).
If I have the chance, I would definitely stay here again.

Guest UserMy stay at Moracea by Khao Lak Resort was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that instantly made me feel at home. The staff went above and beyond throughout my entire stay—always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything I needed. Their kindness truly made the experience unforgettable.
The location is absolutely stunning. Nestled right by the beach, the views are breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Whether it was watching the sunset or simply enjoying the sound of the ocean, every moment felt special.
The facilities are outstanding and beautifully maintained. From the pools to the rooms and all the shared spaces, everything is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to create a luxurious yet welcoming environment.
And the food—simply incredible. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. There was a great variety of options, and everything I tried exceeded expectations.
I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing about my stay. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Dmitriy_rusWhat I liked:
Good views from the rooms.
Didn't get food poisoning.
Clean bedding without hair.
Overall clean, well-maintained grounds.
Room cleaning was good. If you asked for something to be done or not done, they understood and did as requested. The cleaners understood English.
Good beach, few corals, big waves in the off-season, just how we like it. You can really enjoy the waves.
What I didn't like:
This is a hot Asian country. It's logical that you need somewhere to hang clothes and dry them. Well, there's no proper drying rack, and the only wardrobe is small and will stay lit until you close the doors. So, you can't dry anything in that wardrobe.
The room has a large area for belongings, but not a single hook to hang them. It ends up looking like a street vendor's stall at a market. And you need to dry a lot, it's hot, especially if you also go to the gym.
There's a minibar, but what's the point of taking anything from it when the exact same items are sold across the street for 3 times less?
Staff attitude: We asked for a mosquito repellent, and they said they had one. Great! A common thing in Asia. They brought a broken one. The staff didn't even bother to check.
The hotel's unique feature is a river in the middle. BUT! All movement to and from the rooms is via outdoor paths! When are you supposed to look at the river? What was the designer smoking when they came up with this?
The restaurant is beautiful, designed with separate huts and zones. The zones are covered by roofs. But why are the walkways between the huts uncovered?! In the rain, your food gets soaked while you're carrying it. It's clear they realized this design flaw and patched up some polycarbonate awnings in places. But not everywhere. And these awnings look out of place and ugly.
The common pools are small and only 1.2m deep. There aren't enough sun loungers for everyone.
The rental bicycles are in terrible condition and not maintained; they're all rusty. Even the handlebars are crooked. The saddles are for masochists. We rented them once and swore we'd never do it again. Our health is more important.
The air conditioning in the gym doesn't work. And it's not being fixed. This is a 5-star hotel, hello? And the water cooler isn't working either. Or rather, it works, but only cold water comes out. We all understand that you should only drink warm water during a workout, but apparently, the hotel doesn't care, just pay your money.
There's absolutely no neutral public space: no benches, no swings, no outdoor seating, no tables for working. Why is this a drawback? Because there's no proper space in the room either, only coffee tables.
Besides the gym, there are absolutely no other activities: no tennis, no billiards, no chess, nothing.
The breakfasts are very monotonous; only the juices and fruits change. After a week, there's nothing left to take.
Flies, ubiquitous flies in the restaurant. Can't you get rid of the flies? There are a million ways; the problem can be solved in a day.
Found hair in the cheese and butter.
Rusty sun loungers on the beach.
No free shuttle to the town center. Neighboring hotels have them.

I had a nice stay at Khao Lak Marriott Resort & Spa overall. The resort is quite new, clean, and beautifully designed, with plenty of space to relax. I also really liked the variety of activities available, so you can easily spend most of the day at the resort without having to go out.
The service was generally good. Most of the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful, and I felt well taken care of. The breakfast was also good, with a decent variety of food, and the breakfast team provided very attentive service.
There are a few small things that could be improved. I arrived quite late at night, and the check-in process was a little slow. The reception team seemed slightly confused at first, and I also noticed that some staff at Reception were wearing slippers during the night, which felt a little unusual compared with the more professional appearance during the daytime. Keeping the grooming standard consistent at Reception would help create a better first impression.
Other than these minor points, I enjoyed my stay. Overall, it’s a good resort for a relaxing getaway, with nice rooms, a pleasant atmosphere, good facilities, and plenty of activities. Not perfect, but overall a pleasant experience and somewhere I would consider staying again.

The hotel is a 7-minute walk from the beach. I enjoyed walking to Nang Thong Beach along a dirt road through the abandoned hotel grounds and forest. There you'll see hens and chicks, roosters, cows, and coconut palms. Breakfasts are monotonous. The rooms are large and spacious. There's plenty of seating—two rattan armchairs, two chairs, and a stool—a rarity in Thailand. There's a large TV where you can watch your own movies from a USB drive. There's hot water!
I loved everything.

A luxurious hotel, the best one we've stayed at in Thailand. You feel like a millionaire here! The restaurant by the water is a bit pricey, but the one by the sea is fantastic. We visited during the off-season, so there was a nice breeze. The hotel grounds are home to a couple of monitor lizards, birds, and fish. Evenings are beautiful with live music playing. There are a lot of Europeans around. The grounds are extensive, and the kids' pool is great. However, the waterslides close early, and you can only swim in the pool until 7 PM. We often only got back to the hotel around that time and wished we could swim in the pool when it was already dark on the beach. But, overall, it's a superb hotel, and I'd gladly spend another week here. Nearby, there's a waterfall and a turtle sanctuary, and you can go bamboo rafting. The kids loved it, and so did we!

Being a Marriott chain hotel, it accepts Bonvoy, and I was impressed with every service. The front desk staff provided excellent recommendations for the hotel's facilities and activities. I participated in the morning bicycling tour to the Moken village, which had a lovely atmosphere despite some rain.
The room was beautifully decorated with complete amenities. The bathroom was spacious and airy, with clear separate zones and a bathtub. Breakfast could get crowded and chaotic if you went after 8:00 AM. The food taste was average, but the staff provided excellent service, even mixing drinks for guests. The facilities are comprehensive. From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, there's a happy hour for cocktails by the sea, and the bakery offers a 50% discount.
Overall, I was very impressed. As a Bonvoy member, I also received a late checkout. I will definitely return again if I have the opportunity.

ป้าปอ(งง)ไปไหนอีกแล้วI was very impressed with my stay at Pullman Khao Lak Resort. There's no need to leave; there are plenty of activities to do. The hotel has a great, peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The resort itself is beautiful and right by the beach, with a large swimming pool. The overall ambiance is lush and private.
The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable! The staff were lovely and provided excellent service, always smiling and ready to help. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices.
It's suitable for both couples and families looking for a chill vacation in Khao Lak. I'll definitely come back again if I have the chance.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is interesting. We had a sea view room (though the lawn in front of the sea, which belongs to the hotel, was a bit unkempt). The room itself was beautiful, comfortable, and spacious, and the balcony was great too.
The pool is open until 10 PM, and there's a water cooler in the common hallway, so no issues with water. Breakfasts were tasty, and the staff were polite and pleasant. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end.
Regarding the negatives: upon check-in, we found a huge cockroach on the curtain. How it could have been missed when preparing the room is a mystery. We didn't make a fuss; we just caught the cockroach ourselves and released it onto the lawn (there were two in total), oh well, these things happen.
The biggest drawback, which overshadowed all the positives, was the non-functional air conditioning system. It's a central system, and it seems like maintenance has been completely neglected. When we contacted reception, an engineer came up and showed us how to adjust it (only two modes: 22°C and 21°C; other temperature settings didn't work). The room was 29°C. The AC blew slightly but didn't cool.
Because of this, we canceled our extended booking and moved to a proper hotel with a working air conditioner. And where the AC unit draws air, there was a thick layer of dust...
The hotel itself is great, but the air conditioning, or rather its lack of proper function, ruined everything.

Khaolak Wanaburee Resort is an ideal place for those who appreciate nature, comfort, and tranquility.
Pros: The hotel boasts a large, well-maintained area with a beautiful landscape design. It has everything: direct beach access, a picturesque stream, and even a lake. The rooms are very clean, modern, and truly meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. Daily housekeeping ensures impeccable cleanliness. The charming bridges connecting different parts of the property add a special touch. Walking across them feels like being in untouched jungles. The beach is well-equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, and there’s a cozy beachside café nearby where you can have lunch or dinner while enjoying the sea view. The resort’s territory is full of life: you’ll see many butterflies and even friendly monitor lizards wandering around, adding to the tropical paradise vibe.
Cons: Breakfasts could be more varied, especially in terms of fresh pastries.
Good to know: The nearest 7/11 or town café is about a 15-minute walk away (there’s a sidewalk). If you prefer not to walk, a taxi costs 100 baht.
The closest self-service laundry is a 15-minute drive away (400 baht).
Overall, Khaolak Wanaburee Resort is a perfect choice for those looking to relax in harmony with nature while enjoying comfort and quality service. Highly recommended!
