Nobody thinks of the Tallangatta Motor Inn as famous for it family environment. There aren't any great great restaurants or attractions in Tallangatta. There was anywhere at all to to get food after 8.30 on a Saturday night. This is just one of a very small number of places in this tiny little town where you can get a bed for a night. Mid.

Stayed here for two nights for work. Very serviceable if you are just looking for a place to sleep. There is an automated check in so you can check in at any time to grab your key. Beds were comfortable. Shower was hot. The decor is all very dated. It is very close to the rail trail if you want to go for a walk along the lake which is nice.

Nothing like the photos in the add. Maybe they have some units renovated but we certainly didn’t get one. There are several dubious looking characters that seem to be permanent residents. Room is very tired and the bed was dreadful. Pillows were solid and when we went to get the spare pillow it was in a dirty bag and was ripped with stuffing hanging out. Only 1 coat hanger , tiny TV, carpet is grubby. We rang reception to complain of sewerage smell coming from bathroom, still waiting for them to get back. Certainly needs a good tidy up.

After a long drive we arrived and were welcomed with exceptional customer service and a beautifully renovated room with all facilities including a micro-wave oven and air-con. A very clean unit with such a comfortable bed AND in a quit location. What more could you wish for? Well there is more, whilst very quite, it was in an ideal location, with shops, centre of town and sports oval all within a couple of hundred metres walk. Highly recommended. Ken and June.
