This Hotel was conveniently located and easily to found. The room very comfortable and was well equip with water boiler, filter water, ice box safe box, hair dryer.My stay was very enjoyable. The bed was large and very comfortable.Reception Staff very friendly, fast and obliging. I was very happy to be given an early check-in. Love the beautiful beach,the swimming pool are great also.walking distance beachside to nice cafe and a Chinese temple.

The lobby at this hotel is a wow factor due to the fact that you have the ocean glaring right back at you!
It has its own private beach. However not a very clean one but good to sit at pool and enjoy the views
Room comfy apart from bathroom which is rather cramped. Has own filter tap which is a bonus.

2nd time to Mercure Penang Beach Hotel and service was excellent from the front office to service personnel from the restaurant to housekeeping. Their undivided attention warms us and a top list on our next trip to Penang.
Kelvin, the restaurant manager was helpful with dining tips and advice, Iza from the front office always put on a warm smile greeting her guests, it makes you feel at home. Not only the service was excellent, and the beach within walking distance was amazing nice to dip in, or for water sports.
It is a great hotel to host your party or family holiday

Strategic location where we can enjoy both the beach and swimming pool facilities. It's not far from George town, easy access to most of the attraction in town.

Upon check-in, it took approximately 30 minutes. The receptionist appeared to be new and lacked experience, indicating a need for training. Sahur was not provided buffet-style at the restaurant; instead, room service delivery was offered. Unfortunately, the food was tasteless and lacked variety. The redeeming quality was the scenic view of the sea from the hotel's front.

The hotel is strategically located between Batu feringgi and Georgetown.
Room is alright.

Booked this place for a short 4-day 3-night getaway. The place is located quite a distance away from Georgetown, and we had to take a taxi/Grab in and out of town, which typically took about 20 mins - 40 mins, depending on the day and time. That said, the distance is worth it being away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The room was spacious and oversees the beach, providing a nice view in the day and an enchanting view at night (when you can see cruises out at sea). Room was very clean as well, and the mattress was firm and comfortable. Only complaint about the room was the lack of bathrobes. Bedroom slippers were also not replaced after cleaning up on the second day.
Within the hotel premises as well was a private beach, which was fortunately pretty empty most of the time, unlike the beach resorts of Phuket or Krabi. The only drawback was the drinks booth at the beach was never open throughout our stay. In any case, it wasn't a big deal since we were in Penang for the food and street art.
