Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay.
The unit was not properly cleaned and was not ready for us on time. It was almost 4:00 PM and the cleaning was still not completed. Even after the unit was handed over to us, we found sand throughout the rooms, bathrooms and even on the beds. The overall cleanliness was poor, to the extent that we were unsure whether the bedsheets had actually been changed. The hair dryer provided was also faulty.
We were here for work and specifically needed the unit to be handed over on time so that we could settle in and prepare for our work later that day. Unfortunately, the delayed check-in and poor condition of the unit caused considerable inconvenience.
What made the experience more disappointing was the response from the host. When we requested a slightly later checkout, just after 12 PM, our request was rejected immediately and rather coldly. When we pointed out that the unit itself had not been ready on time for our check-in, we were simply told that nothing could be done about the late handover.
We understand that delays can occasionally happen, but when guests are expected to strictly observe the checkout time, it is only reasonable to expect the same level of responsibility from the host in providing a clean and ready unit at the agreed check-in time.
Overall, the cleanliness, delayed handover and way the situation was handled fell well below our expectations.
