Hompton Hotel by The Beach

Not specified room will only have partial sea view. Feels very rundown despite being not very old, Cleanliness is not the that good. Basic amenities. Nice view from the restaurant on the lobby.

We had an unpleasant stay at homton. 1.Firstly The room door was unable to open upon checkin and It’s took sometimes for the management to repair it. 2.The Breakfirst lounge was not clean and we found cockroaches at the breakfast table.we have complained to the staff and no action was taken. 3.swimming pool was not clean and we found its very dirty,when we check with staff they answer very rudely that vendors didn’t come for cleaning and we can’t do anything for that.

This is our second time here. We stayed for 1 night, just to refresh ourselves and truly it was a pleasant stay. The room is clean and the staff are helpful, the breakfast spread is very good. During booking, I mentioned it's my husband's birthday and when we checked in, Hompton prepared a nice gesture which we are grateful for. Maybe for improvement, you could add dinner menus with smaller servings. Thank you Hompton.

Stayed for two (2) night, but the room at the time we check in there are little ants below the tv, in the floor and also in the bed. We called the room service to clean up again the room, but it seems the room service is not well trained. Also in the second day, they gave new towel but the old one did not pick up we have eight (8) towels. We inform the room service because we need hand towel, but they bring towel again. We ask them to pick up the old towel. The amenities is ok, but for mineral water better hotel provide pitcher and water dispenser. Many hotels now doing that. The hotel will charge RM 1.5/bottle for additional mineral water. Small things that make us not happy. Before we stayed at Hompton, we stayed at international hotel chain in Georgetown and they provide pitcher and water dispenser in each floor. Just fill the pitcher and tumbler as much as we need. Breakfast is good, so many varieties of food and mostly all is ok. Nasi lemak is the best since 3-4 years ago I stayed there.

Nice beach side hotel with beautiful views towards the beach and ocean, and has infinity pool at 10th floor with the view too. Good location too as it has a local hawker food center across. My only complain is the water heater barely warm up the shower.

The hotel is seriously poorly maintained. I had been facing a few situations 1. The AC blower in the room was loose and noisy. The maintenance team came and check , and confirmed that it was abnormal and something is loose causing the noise. I requested for a change of room. It was around 5pm the day I checked in. However, the front desk only contacted me for room change after 830pm which my kid was already asleep due to tiredness. I decided not to change the room 2. Poor cleanliness all around. I can see hairs on the floor when I checked in 3. The tap on the sink in the toilet was not in good condition too. It was splashing water , not like normal water flow 4. During second day morning , we went out at 11am, switching on “pls clean my room”. After we came back at 530pm, room was not cleaned. Need to call front desk twice to get some replenishment It is just overall very unpleasant experience. Definitely not going to stay there anymore
