Valamar Tamaris Resort

Don't bother...far too big and the dining room is manic...you have to que for food, six of us..we all ended up eating separately. Didn't enjoy the food, all aimed for the German guests Facilities are good, plenty to do with nice pools but children's entertainment starts too late for little ones

On the whole a great hotel. Stunning location, very clean and tidy hotel. Lots of staff keeping busy all day. So many fabulous activities to chose from to fill the days. We took bikes out (this is included in all-inclusive), we went on the inflatable water course (10€ pp cash only) We hired a motorboat to tour the bay (€55 for an hour, take card) You have to pay for sun loungers at the beach (6€ p bed p day and same for a parasol. Take card) We took out paddle boards too, (10€ per board, take card) this was all so much fun. Food was really good but got quite samey as the week went on. Lots of it is cooked fresh in-front of you and replenished all the time. The drinks included are pretty grim, have to pay extra for nice drinks or a decent coffee. The lobby bar does a good coffee and it’s 1.30€, which you can add to your room bill or pay by card. The Olivo restaurant is quite nice but pricey and they charge for the bread and ketchup and every little thing you have. The chilled pool is really nice, great snack bar and a freezer at the back with ice creams that are inclusive. Not all of the hydro features are working which is a shame. It’s worth downloading the Valamar app ahead of your trip as it gives lots helpful advice for using the hotel. There are two little shops on site with a few snacks, drinks and toys etc. Have a good roam around the Mediterranean restaurant as there is a cheese station, olive bar and a few bits dotted around that are different to the main food counters. The rooms are quite basic but have all that you need and they are clean. Defo ask for at least 3 pillows as they disappear once you’ve laid on them. The hotel was fab in making a cake for my husbands birthday along with a bottle of wine and a card. It’s worth getting the water taxi to Novigrad! It’s so pretty. Amaze restaurants and ice cream parlour. Also the best sweet shop!

The hotel is great!Close to Poreč, and Istralandia, but still remote, hidden, with beautiful small beach, excellent entertainment and great food!!! I needed two days to get used to climbing uphill to the main building but it was really ok. The distance was really short! The hotel has unique charm and it is real treasure!

Perfect quiet spot for famillies settled in the mediterian greenery with great food and the best Maro Club ever. Our kids love their program and spend the time playing games rather than be with us, especcially with Gabrijel. Thank you guys so much for doing such an incredible job! See you soon.

It was really a very pleasant and unique stay and there is really nothing to criticize..... Especially the whole team of staff was very friendly and accommodating. The management is also to be highly commended. Keep it up.... We will definitely come back again. :-)

Just got back from a week at this hotel and i must saying the experience was amazing. Good points:- Food - was worried when saw other reviews as i am a very fussy eater but there was always something i liked. The different fish each day more than satisfied me; the choice of potato dishes and other vegetables was excellent; the salads were plentiful. My husband, being a meat eater, was more than happy with pork, lamb, beef, turkey, in wonderful sauces. Room - always clean. Had a fridge. Plenty of wardrobe space. Provides shower gel, body lotion and soap in bathroom. Hotel - grounds and vastness are amazing. Took us 3 hours to walk the whole complex which is on its own peninsula looking across to Novigrad. There is the hotel and then villas and a caravan camping complex. Beautiful and clean with loads of sunchairs on the parts you could sit on. Very much a tennis hotel - loads went off in the mornings. Points to be improved on:- Food - meal times were rather unruly as some people did not understand the concept of queuing! Or the fact that the food will be replenished - no need to make your plates overfilled! Felt sorry for those with children - maybe the first 15 mins could be for them to get the children settled with food? Soft drinks machines - the cola, lemonade and orangeade left a lot to be desired! Outside - some of the paths were a bit of a H&S issue as uneven. Room - cleaners need to check that the shower gel is full! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to visit Croatia - it is really beautiful.

Great place to stay during your holiday. Staff always happy and helpful. The animation team is the best. Tamaris is a great complex with various things to offer. Recommending it to everyone if you love to have fun but at the same time relax and enjoy yourself!

The staff is super friendly and always helpfull to help. The food in the mediterraneo restaurant is excelent and diverse. There is always something to do during the day (sports activities, teens tournaments ...) and during the night music and fun program for everyone. If you have kids there is an amazing Maro club for kids where everyone is enjoying themselves and it's a lot of fun. The animators are the best! Best vacation ever!

Great resort for children and family. A lot of things to do, great beaches and offers for everyone to enjoy. From water sports to bycicle tours. Food offer is perfect, you can find something for everyone. Even people with dietary preferences can find something for them. Animation programe and animators are perfect. The kids were loving it.
