The room was clean and tidy but very dated. Could hear a bit of noise from other guests coming and going. Overall okay for a one night stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful on arrival. Close to the town centre to go out for early morning coffee.

Called to book a room a couple of weeks ago, and was told it was all good to go and it was booked in. Upon arrival to the motel, I went to check in and told there was no such booking. It was really disappointing as I had to go and find alternate accommodations elsewhere. Unfortunately, everywhere in Taumarunui was fully booked. Heard this has happened a couple of times to people, while I was motel hunting for new accommodation.

The room was lovely and we were cheerfully welcomed. The motel is close to places to eat and local supermarkets. We drove to the river nearby in the morning, absolutely beautiful! We used this as an overnight stop before driving the forgotten highway.

Comfortable beds. Property was clean. But I would have expected air con. Our room was 26 degrees at night with only the option of opening windows to cool the room, which I didn’t feel comfortable with doing on the ground floor given there were no security locks.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to do laundry and the kitchenette was well supplied. It was a short walk to groceries and restaurants.

Friendly host. Clean room. Very basic. It was very cold when we stayed and the heating was not adequate - just a panel heater on the wall - no heat-pump. Even a fan heater would have been good. The bed had an electric blanket. The basin for bathroom doubles as the kitchen sink. We had dinner at the RSA which was nice and just a short walk away.

The Studio Unit was meticulously clean and very comfortable. Nothing was a problem. Friendly & helpful staff too, especially Nancy. Great location close to shops & eateries. Thankyou for a great stay.

This is a basic but comfortable motel, in a small central North Island town. Check in was crisp but professional, the room basic but very, very, clean, and the staff were helpful when I was trying to find somewhere to eat. The complimentary shortbread biscuits were a very nice touch, and I wish more motels did this. I chose it because I saw it was well off the main street. And just as I thought it would be, it was very quiet and I got a good rest, before the long trip back to New Plymouth via SH43 the following day.
