Hotels near Spa Thermal Park, Taupo

Unexpectedly, this was the most satisfying motel of our two-week North Island trip. Initially, we changed our itinerary, resulting in two separate bookings for three nights in different room types. The friendly white lady at the front desk upgraded our room so we didn't have to change rooms for three nights. The motel had a first-row lake view, a central location, and was only a 2-minute walk from the airport and McDonald's. Everything was well-equipped, with an oven, exhaust fan, and tableware… everything was clean and tidy. Finally, the owners also helped us resolve a small issue we had while grilling steak. We were extremely satisfied and highly recommend it to everyone.

The one-bedroom and one-living room is more soundproofed. It's great to have a direct view of the lake from the living room. Parking is also convenient. Dining is not far away. It's great. The service is very friendly.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! We chose their best room this time, and it was incredibly spacious with amazing views. The parking lot is also huge. We stayed for four nights and three days, and we'll definitely be choosing this place again on our next visit!

We have a great stay at this hotel. Its very clean, staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast provided by the hotel is really great too! It is also near to tourist attractions and good food places.

While the TV and bathroom in the room were a bit dated, I don't really use the TV anyway, so it didn't bother me much. However, I think the view was absolutely stunning. My friend and I really enjoyed the ambiance, and the ground-floor lake view room had a backyard that opened directly onto the lawn. On the afternoon of our check-in, we not only enjoyed the scenery but also stargazed and admired the moon together that evening, so I had a great time.

We had a very good discounted price for the night, the room was very comfortable and clean with a good bathroom. Unfortunately the units are not very well sound proofed and in our instance the occupants of the room next door were very inconsiderate and stayed up very late, even after asking them in person to go to sleep at 1am it took another while before it got quiet. We booked this place because it was relatively cheaper compared to other motels in Taupō. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect since it’s not right on the lakefront or in the CBD, but it’s only about a 10-minute drive from the main area. (Car def needed ! 🚗³₃) What a pleasant surprise! The resort is huge, and the room was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. The facilities were incredible and all included with the stay: two heated pools, two jacuzzis, a sauna, tennis courts, football fields, squash courts, and a gym. Everything was well maintained, and the facilities are open from 6am to 11pm, which was fantastic. There are also restaurants and bars on-site, which were great. We didn’t try the breakfast, but they offer a $35 buffet breakfast that looked really good. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to many of Taupō’s attractions, including the geothermal spas, Huka Falls, and the prawn park. Overall, this accommodation exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taupō!

The public area is clean, the location is not far from the central area, and it is very convenient for self-driving tours. The basic facilities are simple but neat and clean. It is very comfortable in autumn, and it may be a bit hot in summer because there is no air conditioning in the room. Overall, I am very satisfied. 

Because of the epidemic, the prices are so cheap. This time is suitable for going out. There are not many guests in the motel, so you don’t have to worry about disturbing others at night. The spa is very spacious and comfortable. I brought my own wine to the past. The overall feeling is very good. it is good
