Maravu Taveuni Lodge

Great staff, very nice people. Well located, very reasonable prices for food and drinks. I thoroughly recommend.

WE spent 2 nights with my 8 Years old daughter, and WE really appreciate our stay. All the staff IS so nice and helpfull. The réception and restaurant/bar staff, Kali and the cleaning lady, all were smiling and caring ! Thé room was so Big , and my daughter likes so much thé bed with the "moustiquaire" 😉 You feel liké you are all alone cause all the room are well distanced. Thé beach is juste on the other side of the road. WE recommand 200% !! And WE wish WE could stay longer ..

We stayed in the treehouse, and it was excellent! From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we felt welcomed and excited to experience all that Taveuni had to offer. Maravu is truly special — a hidden gem. The staff are so sweet and genuinely kind. During our island-hopping adventure through Fiji (we visited five islands), Taveuni stood out the most. It was everything we were hoping for — lush greenery, rich culture bursting around every corner, and a peaceful atmosphere with barely any cars on the road. Maravu even has a small woman-owned kitchen called “The Divas Kitchen.” The food was incredible — every single bite was heavenly! I mean that. I was blown away and even asked where they got their culinary training. I'm from San Francisco, where we take food seriously, and I was completely WOW’ed! The women were not only talented but also warm and welcoming. I absolutely loved Maravu. Rafa and Cauli (hope I spelled that right!) led the entertainment — the kava ceremonies were full of laughter, connection, and joy. There’s so much to see and do — waterfalls, snorkeling, diving… and the Rainbow Reef is breathtaking! My only regret is that we didn’t come here first. I’ve fallen in love with Taveuni and its people.

My wife and I stayed at Maravu for 7 nights. We had a wonderful time! We were well taken care of, with excellent accommodations and food (breakfasts, lunch, and dinners). Maravu is very charming and has a relaxed vibe which complements the “Fiji Time” atmosphere. You’re not directly on the beach but the vast property is beautiful - full of coconut trees and views of the water. Also a very nice pool for lounging. Maravu is also a 5 minute walk from a beach with dive/snorkel/paddleboard options as well as a restaurant on the beach if you want another food option. The nearby beach has great reefs for snorkeling and Maravu can help arrange larger excursions for Rainbow Reef, waterfalls hikes, etc. The staff were incredible - very warm and helpful, and led some of the excursions themselves. Overall I’d recommend Maravu to anyone looking for a great stay in Taveuni - wonderful mix of relaxation and water adventures. 5/5.
