If you are heading to Milford Sound from Queenstown, it is a good place to stay for one night. It only takes less than 2 hours to drive to the sound the next day, avoiding the boredom of being on the road all day. The room faces Lake Te Anau and is very comfortable.

The most surprising hotel in this trip. The room is a suite. The living room faces Lake Te Anau and has a balcony. There is a toilet and bathroom area with wet and dry areas in the middle, and the bedroom is at the back. It feels very homey. The apartment has a large kitchen area where you can cook your own meals. We drove from Te Anau to Fiordland and played all the way back. We bought things at the supermarket in town and cooked at the hotel.

The location of the hotel is very good, the sound insulation is too bad, there is too much noise upstairs all night, it is recommended not to book the first floor, the front desk service is very good and very enthusiastic. Every aspect of these apartments were great! They’re roomy, comfortable, well equipped with modern appliances and they have a fantastic view of Lake Te Anau! I am overwhelmed at how nice Fiordland Apartments are!

Loved the view of the lake and the nice patio. Kitchen was good. Hosts were nice. Location is walkable to town and lake. We enjoyed our stay.
