Well it was a celebration of our Anniversary as we were coming back from the picos de Europa I was exiting to try this iconic SPA. Thinking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hotel should be good enough.. but I’m afraid realistically speaking travelling around the world this place doesn’t meet the speciation of a four star hotel. I understand is a country stay but the SPA,trying others is nothing to get excited about.Very basic,my husband paid the circuit included £4 for a polisher hat. My dressing gown presented in a closed plastic bag was full of hols on one of the arms!! I was Shock!! I got an apology when I ask them about the standards of the hotel. The room full of stains on the wall (I don’t understand why they can’t have some basic standards.

I stayed in this hotel one night ago with the expectation of staying in a four star hotel as rated in your *********** listing. The location of the hotel is spectacular with scenic views of the mountains. The building itself is lovely and spending time in the spa area was also very relaxing. The hotel is rated as a four star and their prices are a reflection of that rating. However, this hotel is hardly a three star mainly because of the rundown state of the furnishings and lack of cleanliness in the room and spa area. In the room there was a broken frame and visibly damaged table. In the bathroom there was a broken glass shelf and there was grime in every bottom corner of the bath and shower. Some of the large glass panes in the spa were clean while others were encrusted with deposits to the point that you could not see through them and made them look grimy and dirty. I don't believe that this hotel in its current state should be rated any higher than 2.5 or 3 stars and the hotel prices should also be adjusted to such reality. Not doing so would be a misrepresentation of this hotel to patrons that make a booking at this hotel. I informed the receptionist about all of this and even left my email hoping that the manager would contact me immediately. I was disappointed that they didn't.

This hotel is awful. Overpriced for what you get. The hotel has an "Overlook Hotel" atmosphere. The rooms have an extremely strange smell. The rooms have very old worn down ugly furniture, the bathroom is in poor condition as some of the tiles are cracked and moldy, and don't look very clean. The rooms do not have a bathtub. Flies routinely land on your food and the food is that is available is not worthwhile, or appetizing. The staff is not very hospitable and you can't even get an espresso, when you take into account that this is Spain, an espresso is the type of coffee that is routinely served everywhere. The only thing the hotel has going for it is the scenery, which faces beautiful mountains. That said I expected Jack Nicholson to come out any minute with an ax. If you want to use the "spa" which is basically a jaccuzzi, you must make an an appointment. Even that is not available past 6:00 PM, which completely defeats the purpose if you decide to go out hiking and just want a warm soak after you get back. Spend your money elsewhere.

The hotel is fine and the staff very friendly, the circuit is fine and it is true that there were quite a few people but in August in a tourist site it is normal. Breakfast is spectacular and dinner is quite good. recommendable

The spa is ok but nothing to write home about and the day we went it was very crowded. But the locker rooms left a lot to be desired: hardly any light, few lockers and no key, no soap in the showers and the floor full of water all day. The restaurant is fine

Before booking at this hotel, I recommend that you call and make sure of the spa's opening hours. I booked through buscounchollo half board and spa every day and when I called to confirm spa hours, they told me that since they did not have my phone because the agency does not pass it on, they had already assigned me a time and that since everything was reserved they couldn't change the schedule. So, I had to change all my vacation plans to fit the schedule that they unilaterally assigned me. But that's not the worst thing, when I spoke with the director, not only did he not give me a solution, but he also spoke to me incorrectly and without respect, and blamed the buscounchollo agency for not passing the phone to them. Hours later the agency called me and they confirmed that they did not pass the phone to them. The thing is that I had to adjust my schedules to them and many places I wanted to visit I couldn't. But in addition to this, you should know that the room was not up to a 4-star standard: old furniture, no amenities in the bathroom and to top it off, two days they forgot to change my towels. I had to pick them up myself at reception. And to top it off, going down the stairs I fell because the floor was wet, because they had scrubbed the floor and had not posted any notice. I have a tremendous stroke in the rear with a lot of pain. The only good thing about the hotel was its doctor, who answered me very kindly on the phone and made sure that I did not lack medication. They were lucky that I fell, because if an older woman fell, she could have broken her hip. And finally, I want to applaud the maitre d', waiters and the rest of the dining room staff, as they were exceptional workers, attentive, friendly, with an extraordinary organization worthy of a superior hotel.

We were paying more than €200 a night, the rooms were crappy, outdated…, the old and typical old-fashioned dining room, poor quality food The spa was bad and with limited time I will never return and I would not recommend it even for 1/4 of the price
