An unexpected and exceptional 2 night stay, wish it had been longer. Just a few hundred metres beyond Rubyvale's main town centre but the location was excellent. A quiet bush outlook with an outside patio where we were greeted by a beautiful little wallaby wanting to be hand fed. The 2 bedroom unit was comfortable, immaculate and well equipped for self catering. Just a very short drive to the atmospheric New Royal Hotel where we had an excellent meal both evenings. Would highly recommend and we'll definitely be back for a return visit.

I have stayed here once before however this was a quick overnighter. The place is amazing and just a stone throw from the centre of town. I stayed in the spa suite and absolutely loved it!! I went and used the bbq facilities and was accompanied by the butcher birds for dinner. The place is beautiful and very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Welcoming and clean unit with everything we needed. Homely country style with travellers considered - washing machine in unit, kitchen, full fridge, and TV. The bed was comfortable and the location very relaxing. BBQ facilities, swimming pool and gardens were all well-maintained and enjoyable. Bonus was the local wildlife and stargazing. There is even a telescope with an expert guide available for booking!

What a lovely place to stay when visiting the gem fields. Self contained two bed unit with all you need and a front verandah to sit out on and listen to and observe ...... nature, what a great way to spend the early morning with a cuppa and sunset with a cold drink. They even have a gem shop, swimming pool and an observatory. Hosts are very welcoming, highly recommended and will be back if I'm in the area.

Please dont change a thing? it was one of the nicest and relaxing stays that we have ever had and now that we are home from our 6800km road trip can say that our stay with you will definitely go into "the pool room" as a remarkable stay. Anybody who wishes to "go bush" with the comforts of home need to look no further. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a lovely 2 night stay in July 24. Beautifully presented accommodation and well maintained location, close to all the local areas of interest. Jane and Michael were very welcoming and answered all our questions. We enjoyed our 'star gazing' despite the clouds! Highlights included a Wallaby mum, with joey, who came from adjoining bushland to to say hallo, while we sat under the porch having our lunch. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Our 2 bedroom unit was unbelievable, full of personal little touches - and a laundry! The outlook from our porch over the gardens with its friendly wallabies & birds looked very natural. Jane Taylor's fine cut sapphires are exquisite.They don't need a light shining on them to make them dazzle. I saw at least three that I really wanted.

We did a girls trip (4 of us) and booked a unit and a motel room right next door for a 4 night stay. The location was superb - just a short walk to Rubyvale town with cafes, hotel and grocery store. The unit was fully equipped so we did a mixture of cooking and eating out. Set amongst nature we were visited every day by a beautiful friendly wallaby complete with a Joey. We did the on-site observatory experience one night and it was well worth it - Michael is so knowledgeable about our solar system and the telescope did not let us down with such clear views of the planets, stars etc We had terrific hosts with Michael and Jane and we highly recommend their place.
