Sigiriya Village

Great location, the hotel is a bit old, but the views of Lion's Rock from the pool make up for it.

- Drinking water was hidden so we didn't find it and found out about it only when we checked out - There were no toothbrushes and toothpaste, we had to ask for them to bring it - There were no small towels - There was a terrible smell in the room that didn't go away and this smell was absorbed into the bed linen - Everything in the room was old, different from what is in the photo - The toilet was dirty, the flush worked every other time - There is no refrigerator in the room, all our food went bad because of this - The water in the pool is dirty - There are a lot of cicadas on the hotel grounds, which makes a lot of noise and makes it difficult to sleep - There was also a situation when we ordered gin at the bar, they brought us tonic with the gin, which we didn't order, but we thought that it probably came by default, but then this tonic was on the bill, at least they agreed to remove it For $71 per night, you still expect something nicer, to put it mildly, in such conditions here you can stay in another hotel for $25 per night, and maybe even better conditions will be. The only nice thing is the hotel grounds, that's where the pluses end

Mango juice was served as soon as I entered the door. The Lion Rock is right opposite the door, with a great view. It is also very large, like a resort in the forest. The service is very good and enthusiastic. The overall facilities of this hotel are relatively old, and there is not a single charging port in the whole room. Later, I could only unplug my phone to charge it. The king-size bed room is made up of two single beds, which is very magical. The breakfast is good, recommended. There are also people performing in the bar/restaurant in the evening, and the atmosphere is very good
