Wave Crest Retreat

Location: Close to beaches, with a nice outdoor sitting area and steps from the beach, providing a good environment for water activities(based on 2 reviews)

Sadly we did not enjoy our stay. We had 9 nights booked however ended up only staying 1 night. We booked a garden view room and the pictures looked lovely. When we arrived we were given an inside room with a mottled window that looked out to the corridor (see photo) When we queried this, they tried to tell us that this is the room we booked when it was clear on our booking that was not the case. Added to this, the amenities as stated are not provided, there is no kettle, no hairdryer, no shampoo or body wash etc. Breakfast was ok but there are so many flies that it was impossible to eat. Other restaurants had fans at tables to stop this but they do not here. You could see the flies covering all the buffet food, and though they have covers for the food it did not stop them getting in and being all over it.  Sadly, given we no longer wished to stay as the room was not what we booked we asked for a refund for the remaining nights, they agreed and requested we make the request through *********** and they would approve. Very disappointingly, they did not so we lost all our money. This is bad business and not very kind given it was promised. Overall, I would not recommend this stay at all, the rooms are not what they look like in the pictures (or at least ours was not) they try and gaslight you saying that you did not book what you did and then they lied and took our money despite saying they would refund the remaining nights. I have no choice other than to therefore warn fellow travellers! Stay elsewhere!

Our stay on the island of Thulusdhoo at Wave Crest Retreat was truly a gift! The island itself enchants with its atmosphere: quiet, cozy streets, white sandy beaches, and a feeling of complete harmony with nature. Wave Crest Retreat fits perfectly into this setting clean and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts, and a friendly atmosphere. I especially want to highlight the work of KK. His attentive and heartfelt care for guests made our vacation genuinely warm and unforgettable. KK was always there to help, give advice, or simply ask how our day was going. He even beautifully decorated the bed with flowers a touching gesture that added a special sense of comfort and romance to our stay. Thanks to his care, we felt not just like tourists, but like welcome guests surrounded by kindness. I also cannot fail to mention the Nexus Hub restaurant. The guys working there greeted us with genuine smiles and remarkable hospitality. Every visit turned into a pleasant experience: attentive service, helpful suggestions with the menu, and the feeling that you are welcomed as a dear friend. Wave Crest Retreat is a place you want to return to. KK and the Nexus Hub team create that unique atmosphere of warmth and care that makes the holiday truly special and unforgettable.
