Moody, dark academia esthetic hotel with plenty of character and interesting details throughout the building. The room was fairly comfortable, and although quite small, it was sufficient for a brief stay. The bathroom is spacious, but the sliding bathroom door does not fully close, which was somewhat uncomfortable. Hotel advertised air conditioning in the rooms, but the thermostat is locked out at a somewhat warm temperature level and it felt like only the fan was running, which did not sufficiently cool the room. We ended up having to open the windows, which wasn't a big deal, except for the fact that the rail road is right behind the hotel and you can periodically hear the trains. We enjoyed a fairly short walk to the gorgeous Old Town area, with plentiful restaurant choices, stunning historic buildings and the castle. The walk to the train station was manageable as well and there are busses along the route, should you need a ride.

We had an issue with one of our passports so we had to cancel our room. Hotel Spedition did not honor the stated cancellation policy on the booking. We contacted the hotel directly and had booking company contact them about cancelling before our expected arrival. Hotel Spedition did not honor the cancellation and charged us full cost of the room as if we were a no show. Be careful booking this hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel very nicely decorated. Comfortable, cosy and clean room. Friendly staff and great location not far from the train station and close to the city center. The breakfast was good too. I am definitely recommending this place for a stay in Thun.

Hotel Spedition was easy to find, just around 15mins from Thun mian Station, or even faster around 5 mins walk via bus number 1 from directly outside the main station. The hotel is in a standalone building beside Coop grocery store a garden center and a cinema complex. The entrance of the hotel is via the reataurant. With regards to the room, it was new and very very clean. It also had fantastic air conditioning which was such a welcome treat as it was boiling outside. Showers and bed were fantastic. I actually stayed in 2 other 5 star hotels before I arrived in hotel Spedition and I can confidently say that the beds at hotel spedition was by far the best. I had the best night's sleep at this hotel. Breakfast was OK but perhaps just a minor feedback that it would have completed the great stay experience if the hotel kitchen offered a service where we could choose our eggs and how it was cooked. They only had hard boiled eggs. I would definitely recommend Hotel Spedition. It is one of the better Boutique hotels in Thun for sure.

What a bijou! Fantastic interior design! And thanks to the AC and a very comfortable bed, I slept better than in days in my hot flat! I am very impressed by the excellent quality of meats in the restaurant; my beef steak tartare was also heavenly and I was really pleased to find some house made sausages at the breakfast buffet (amongst other yummy things)! Not to mention the fine coffee I exquisitely enjoyed as well. I will definitely be back since I was unfortunately not able to enjoy any wine.. that intriguing Rosé….😛 What can I say.. for me it was simply a piece of heaven!
