On our trip to Northeast China, we made a stop in Tianjin. Our group of 8 checked into the Hampton by Hilton Wudadao, booking 4 rooms. This was our second time staying with this brand, and it was consistently excellent. The location is superb, offering easy access to everything, with all major attractions just a 15 to 20-minute drive away.
The hotel upgraded us to a Deluxe Room. While the room was slightly compact, both the room service and front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the Jianbing Guozi (a local specialty) was so delicious, I completely forgot to take any photos!
As our train out of Tianjin was scheduled for late in the evening, the hotel kindly offered us a late check-out until 3 PM. This thoughtful gesture made us feel very well taken care of.

6. They lack basic guest privacy protection. My phone number wasn't masked, meaning the hotel could, without my consent, use my check-in details to add me on WeChat.
7. The hotel tried to bribe me with a full refund to cancel my Ctrip booking, clearly to prevent me from leaving a genuine review.
8. The only redeeming factor was the cleanliness; the hotel's hygiene was satisfactory.

My stay here was absolutely wonderful! The hotel's location is unbeatable, just a 5-minute walk from major attractions. It's also surrounded by unique local restaurants, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and shopping.

The hotel's ambiance was truly excellent, and the breakfast was very generous. I forgot to take any photos! The service was fantastic, and the parking was incredibly convenient. Highly recommend! (A friendly tip: In Tianjin, definitely avoid those tandem bicycles – they're super expensive and quite difficult to ride. On the bright side, the ride-hailing drivers were incredibly friendly and gave excellent recommendations for places to visit. Thumbs up!)
