Novotel Tianjin Drum Tower (Opening May 2021)

We were absolutely, exceptionally satisfied! Having stayed in many hotels, this Novotel near Gulou left nothing to be desired – from its location, room layout and facilities, to cleanliness, service, and even its positive energy (feng shui). We truly didn't want to leave. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit! Originally, we only planned to stay for two nights, but because it was so comfortable and we were so delighted, we extended our stay by four more nights, which allowed us to explore Tianjin more deeply. The friendly gentleman at the front desk noticed I was with my parents and upgraded us to a family room. The room type was excellent – spacious and bright, with huge windows. The moment you stepped through the entryway, you were greeted by a breathtaking sunset. That very moment made it feel incredibly worthwhile! The positive energy (feng shui) of the place was outstanding; I felt completely nourished by its good vibes. The bedding was super comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring we slept wonderfully every night. During our stay, I had many items delivered, including heavy packages. Anything the robot couldn't handle was personally brought up by hotel staff. The lady at the front desk was incredibly perceptive and proactive. When I needed to open a package, she immediately got a knife, helped me open it, and placed the contents into a new bag for me. It was clear she had received very professional training. The housekeeping staff were also very warm and helpful, replenishing our complimentary beverages daily. Every single staff member offered service with a smile. A big thank you to all the staff for their dedication, which made our trip such a perfect experience!

The room was just the right size! The facilities were excellent and easy to use. The TV's screen mirroring feature was fantastic, making it super enjoyable to watch shows together in the evening! They even provided a fridge and an ice bucket. If we needed ice, the front desk would have a robot deliver it! Chilling a bottle of dry white wine and enjoying it while watching a show in the hotel was absolutely delightful! The front desk staff provided superb service, and free parking was a great bonus! The cleanliness was excellent! The location was also incredibly convenient for exploring. All in all, I highly recommend it for your trip!

We encountered a small hiccup at check-in, but thankfully everything was resolved smoothly. The service attitude was truly impeccable; they even gave us a small gift upon departure, which really added to our overall positive experience. We particularly loved the corner sofa and round table in the room, perfect for ordering takeout, chatting, and dining. The first round from the mini-bar was complimentary, and the room was quite spacious overall. It's also conveniently located about 600 meters from the Ancient Culture Street, making it an easy walk.
