Capsule Inn Otsuka Reviews

I have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.

Service initially was slightly abrupt but I would imagine they have a lot of people there that walk straight in with shoes on. However that changed drastically and they were very nice and super helpful every step of the way. Lockers are small but they allow you to store your bag with them behind the counter. Facilities offered are absolutely fantastic. Hot tub, cold tub, showers, balcony, chill room and more. The pod is a great experience and will try again without any doubt. Fantastic value for money!

Nice place, easy to stay in for a few nights. Didn’t have any problems. Just know it’s not going to be the fanciest or most private stay.

Best deal in town, connected to a great subway station that’ll take you all around town. It’s a comfortable place to refresh any time of the day. Pack lightly as pajamas are provided and there’s a washer/dryer onsite.

Slept well, the sauna was refreshing in the morning and I was pleased with the amenities. As someone from the UK I can’t knock the price

Great location with lot of food to choose from within walking distance. Very close to train station and easy commune to tourist spots.

Great place but there's a lot of rules. You leave your shoes outside and give your capsule key back each time you want your shoes to go outside. Beware that there's only public bathrooms and tattoos aren't welcomed (you need to cover them) Other then that the place and the location is good and the staff is very nice and knows English well.

This was my first stay in a capsule hostel. There are many folks in the same room but in your capsule you feel private. The hostel also has a free Sauna which is nice. I was the only foreigner so it's not social. I recommend to stay for one night if you want to experience the japanese sauna, but not for many days.
