Skytree Tatami Hotel Reviews

An absolutely amazing stay! Loved it so much! 💕 Since we arrived in Tokyo early, we asked beforehand if we could drop off our luggage, which was allowed. The housekeeping staff continued cleaning after we left our bags (of course, we kept our valuables with us for safety). We had four extra-large suitcases, and when we returned in the evening, the staff even helped us carry them into the room. She was an older lady who spoke Mandarin, and she was really nice! This small, compact apartment had everything we needed. The only thing missing was a gas stove, but we didn't need one anyway. Everything else was fantastic! The separate bathroom had a stylish blue door. We were so pleasantly surprised by the front and back balconies! The Japanese-style tatami room felt so authentic and was incredibly comfortable. Perfect for three people! Before our trip, I read reviews saying there was a strong sewer smell, and it's true, it came from the area around the washing machine and sink. But once the door was closed, it was fine, and I felt it didn't affect our comfort at all! The location is also excellent, convenient for getting anywhere. Oh, and speaking of which, we experienced two earthquakes during our five-day, four-night stay. As *********, we were pretty unfazed, hahaha! I really envy these five-story apartments having elevators; I wish my home had one too! 😂 This place is definitely going into my list of favorite accommodations in Tokyo, Japan. I'll definitely come back again! By the way, "Daikokuyu" is only a five-minute walk from here. My feet were nearly dead from all the walking, but I just *had* to go for a hot spring bath there ♨️ I was shocked when I Googled it and found out one of my bucket-list public baths was so close! I'm not sure about the other floors, but this top-floor unit, 501, has more of a Japanese feel. The experience was 100%! So much to share. A perfectly recommended stay! 🏠

The room is good enough for 5 to 6 pax. We stayed in Room 201. It has a working elevator. Near Lawson, Family Mart and 7-11. 3 mins walk to metro station. The beds are comfy as well as the pillow. Lots of toothbrush, towels. Heater is working too. Easy to check in and check out. Complete amenities just like you are at home. 10/10

The location is great, not far from the train station, making it convenient for traveling to and from Narita. The exterior looks a bit old, but the interior is well-maintained, clean, and new. There's a washing machine and a sink. We arrived late, and the light in front of the room wasn't working, making it a bit difficult to find the key. However, the accommodation responded quickly and resolved the issue promptly. Overall, it's good, affordable, and clean.

The location is amazing!! You can see the Tokyo Skytree right outside the gate, and it's super convenient to take public transportation like the subway to the airport or Disneyland. The only downsides are that the elevator and entryway are a bit small, making it cramped with strollers, so you'll need to split up if you have a lot of people and luggage; also, the bathroom drainage is a bit slow (I stayed in room 401 this time).

Well-maintained and conveniently located. The key is a padlock-style key box secured to the railing. There's a Korean restaurant right next door, and the owner is Korean, so communication is easy. I recommend it.

Everything was great. Check-in was quick and easy. The location was excellent. The apartment had everything we needed. A few complaints: 1) Dusty air conditioners 2) The shower lacked hooks for hanging clothes and towels. I had to put everything on a stool.

It's big enough for a family to use and it's good. But the air conditioner and heater are not cleaned at all, so my neck hurts. Check-in is self-service and sometimes I can't contact the host. The key is in the fire extinguisher.

See previous comments I was a little worried about cleanliness at first. But after actually living there, it was very clean. Very close to the Skytree and very close to Apshang Station. The location was great, it was very close to the Skytree, about a 5-minute walk from Oshiage Station. It was perfect for sightseeing at the Skytree and Asakusa. The room was spacious and the air conditioning worked well. The shower was warm and easy to use. We stayed with our family of six, and it was spacious enough for us to relax. The futon in the tatami room was very thin, so I don't mind a thin mattress, but I think it would have been more comfortable if we had had a mattress. We stayed for 3 nights, and there were plenty of towels and toothbrushes provided, which was good. However, I was a little concerned about the dust on the air conditioner vent and the dirt on the sink. The price was also reasonable, so overall I am very satisfied. If I go to Tokyo again, I would like to use this place.

There were serious hygiene problems when I checked in. A lot of hair was found on the pillows and quilts. The hotel was unable to send clean quilts due to lack of staff on the first night, so I had to share a cleaner bed with my family on the first night. Fortunately, the landlord arranged for someone to come clean the next day, and then everything was fine. In fact, the location of the B&B is very good. I hope the landlord can solve the hygiene problem.
